Ok, so since I like replying to everyone who answers my threads this is probably going to be boring to read, especially if you get mentioned and have to find your name in the list, so apologies in advance and thank you all for the birthday wishes.
@ShepardCommandr: Maybe you just need to lighten up and try to find the enjoyable part of life =D
@neatfeatguy: I can see how that can drain you...hopefully I'll be in your situation soon (the kids, not the exhaustion, although I'm sure they come hand in hand)
@top_lel: Sounds about right =D
@Gamerno6666: Hehe, I remember that happening to me when I started working at 16 and I was always so serious people though I was in my late 20's. I also remember the secretaries calling me "Doctor" (not as in medical doctor but as in bigshot corporate man) and me looking back to see who they were talking to.
@Detroit222: I think that's a great thing to do. Own up to your age, otherwise you're only trivialising the things you've done that helped you get to where you are today. Plus, grey hair is sexy, right? ;-)
@foxhound_fox: I wouldn't say "trapped in" but "enjoying it" by the looks of it ;-) Some people can't find fun even if you slap them with it, so why do anything else but have fun with life for as long as you can, right?
@ashbee: So you're a bit all over the place (in a good way) and since that seems to be working for you I say you're doing the right thing. And you're right, a number shouldn't dictate attitude.
@alim298: I'm glad I was able to help, even if in a small way. I'm one of the ones who preaches "self-improvement" but contrarily to what you might imagine I don't incentive just letting things roll. I want to do great things as well, I've done a few, even if I haven't changed the world but I think a healthy balance is needed...if you decide you want to win a Nobel Prize you probably won't get it if you decide you will do nothing else in your life but strive for the Nobel, it's a daunting task...but you will probably also fail if you say "oh, it doesn't matter...as long as I keep improving I'll get there eventually" so I believe that in this, like so much in life, you need a long term goal, but then break it in smaller steps, less daunting, more easily achievable but that still require dedication. Hope you win your Nobel some day once you decide what it is for you ^_^
@EPICCOMMANDER: I didn't have any cake and had a very peaceful day...coincidence? Don't think so.
@deeliman: You sound a bit older though. Then again, most teenagers I've met in the Netherlands are quite level-headed. Well done =D
@gamerguru100@aretilda: Very balanced then.
@danlevm: Women are great, aren't they? My wife is older than me and she still makes me feel younger =P
@comp_atkins: Yeah, I know how you feel. When you don't have kids and there's not any big change in your life if feels like time is standing still. When you have them and you see them grow so quickly you start feeling old really quickly.
@sevendaysaweek: I have that feeling every year for a few weeks after my birthday where every time I get asked my age I either forget and say my old age or feels wrong saying the new one.
@LexLas: I won't ask then. Keep hanging with the young peeps and inspecting those bodies =P
@toph_girl: So sometimes you already feeling like you have a mortgage to pay? =P Oh and thanks for the ice cream and pizza, thank you for no ice cream pizza and my wife baked me cookies today so I'm all set =D
@kalloo: Liking yourself is the most important thing. I do agree with dropping the cigs though ;-)
@CountBleck12: It's the pressure man, the pressure...
@commander: Definitely a good advice. I always have a lot of plans and I'm never standing still. I have accomplished most of my big goals in life but there's always something else to accomplish.
@whipassmt: So you only feel 197 on the night after, right? ;-)
@Allicrombie: How old did you think I was ? Have I been chasing you out of my lawn or something? And no, I was expecting nothing to change from yesterday to today (shockingly, I was right!) but I think everybody else was expecting me to grow wings or something...also, nice informative post =D
@Wilfred_Owen: I like that!
@BranKetra: 25, 52, 125...if you're doing things right you'll be learning something new every day until the day you die.
@darklight4: I think that kind of attitude can lift years off of you (unless you go crazy on the sex, drugs and R&R...then it works the other way around =P)
@ShyGuy0504: My childhood was terrible, so I'm glad I'm not a child anymore, especially since I have a pretty great life at the moment, but I can understand where you're coming from. Find your passions; you'll see that life can get a lot better.
@ferrari2001: Man, college times were hard as hell for me...got up at 5am to shower, grab something to eat, dash to the bus to get to work, leave work at 6pm to be at school at 7pm, got home at 1am and did school projects until 4. Sleep 1 hour, and repeat...man, that sucked!
@Storm_Marine: 21 is not that far off from teenager =)
@thehig1: That sounded like a date site profile. Single ladies (or guys, whatever you prefer), I vouch for this guy.
@Celldrax: I messed up my back, my knees and a few other parts with martial arts...what have you done to yours?
@ianhh6: Balance in all things, right? =)
@sayyy-gaa: That's great....I miss the 80's sometimes. Especially media-wise. Nowadays I don't think I would even let my kid watch tv. Hell, *I* don't even watch tv.
