23. I had no reason to get a license until then. When I was 16 I lived in Atlanta GA and couldn't afford nor needed a car. When I was 17 I joined the Army and didn't need a car (had plenty of buddies to bum rides from while in Kansas and in Korea we wasn't allowed to drive non-military cars, license or not). After my first trip to Iraq I moved off-base and got an apartment, which pretty much meant I need to drive. I was driving a lot longer than that but I finally made it official so I could get a car.
I don't mean this to sound rude, but are you still having your folks drive you around or something?[QUOTE="the_ChEeSe_mAn2"]I don't have one yet :( I am 21, but I am hoping to get it this year.Pirate700
I'm 19 in a few months and I ****ing hate asking everyone for rides, I want my license so bad:(.
I'm 16 and I just got my drivers liscence due to living out in the country and my abusive friends, making life hard for me when I didn't have it :D !
I don't mean this to sound rude, but are you still having your folks drive you around or something? I don't live with my parents :) I live in another city where I am currently going to a university where I just use the public transportation system. Whenever I visit my parents over the holidays I don't travel much.[QUOTE="the_ChEeSe_mAn2"]I don't have one yet :( I am 21, but I am hoping to get it this year.Pirate700
I hope you guys don't get a horrible instructor on your test.
I got a mean short fuse on mine and failed on it because she yelled at me.
Of course I complained and got another instructor and took the test again for free.
But this instructor had a heavy chinese accent and it was so hard to understand what he was saying.
I passed on my second try though.
I got my learners at 16 but was forced to drive with somebody who already had their license and was over the age of 24 for a entire year before I could take my N (new driver) test at 17. I'm currently 17 and have a N but have a lot of restrictions such as, you can only drive with one person outside of family unless somebody over the age of 24 is with you and has their full license, can drive by yourself but must wear the N sign on the back of the vehicle etc.
I can go for my full license in two years at 19. It's the laws here in British Columbia, Canada.
15 when I got my learners (a few days after my birthday), 15 for my restricted (6 months later), 16 when I got my full (12 months later, down from 18 with a defensive driving course).
