Yeah it was extremely common about 10-15 years ago; it was in the top 10 for UK baby names for several years. Now it's dying off again. It only really became popular a few years after I was born, which means I don't know many other Callum's, but I hear a lot of people younger than me being called it.My real first name isn't common, but the etymology goes all the way back to the Civil War. I'm named for a Civil War colonel that was an engineer and geologist.
