[QUOTE="FragStains"]I have to say that I am surprised. Usually, when these threads come up, 95% of the people that respond are about 6'7", 225 pounds, and ripped.Dystopian-X
I have to say that what I find interesting is to see ppl bawwing over height or caring so much about it especially online. I personally hardly ever measured nor seen the importance in it. Probably because I've never came across anything that's given importance to it.
Anyway, 5'10 and still growing :3
Well, height is a big deal with teenagers who are still growing, and it's understandable, they want to maximize their height while they can because once you stop....you stop. But, in my experience, after you hit about age 21-25 and you know for a fact that you are done growing, it become less important. All my buddies couldn't care less about height. It just simply becomes something that is irrelevant to life as a whole. So don't worry about the pressures of being "tall", and focus on what really matters, cause eventually, no one's gonna give a flying ****.

I fluctuate between 6'0" and 6'1"...and a gentleman doesn't reveal his age.FragStains
I thought only girls did that. :P
Anyway I'm in between 6 and 6'3.
And I'm 15 by the way. :D

Height is one of those things that you don't conciously think of, yet influences much of your thought processes concerning other people. People will often associate intelligence, respect and maturity to those with greater height an the inverse to those lacking it. Authority figures who are short are often ridiculed rather than respected based purely on their height and taller persons are far more likely to be promoted and/or earn more than their shorter counterparts. It's an important dynamic in human interaction, apparently. Also, I'm 5'8 :-).lol the average height for a male in the US is 5'9" yet 95% of these posts are 6'0" plus!!lol Most guys lie about their height. I have a friend who put 5'11" on his license yet he is my height. I am 5'6" 16 years old. Hopefully I can still get an inch or two

You will get taller... trust me. When my brother was 14, he was 5'6", and when he was about to turn 15, he had grown to 5'8". I'm pretty sure that he is way taller than 5'10" already and he's turning 16 in a couple of days.
I wouldn't be so sure, I personally stopped growing when I was 14. Six years on and I'm still 5'8.[QUOTE="Cerise09"][QUOTE="Cypress_290"]

There are probably some phonies here. But do keep in mind that people are generally getting taller, as they have for the past few centuries. Depending on how old that national average height statistic is, it may not be accurate.

people are getting taller but not by much. In ancient egypt the average height for a male was 5'0" so in 5000 years height only increased by less than a foot. I doubt we will see any significant increase in this lifetime as height for a species increases at a very slow rate.
