Girlfriends and boyfriends can be any age. And why not just introduce her by her name? People know that you guys are together. And if anybody asks, just say we're dating.
Hmmm... it's rare for a women to complain about you calling her something that implies youth How about calling her your mistress, technically it is the word you should use. "The Women" would work too but that usually refers to a wife.

Do you not?! I would have to completely agree with girlfriend being juvenile. It also suggests that a woman in my case a 33 year old is a girl..... Far from it thank god. Lol I have referred to my better half as Maddam a few times that went down well lo :P Easiest way is to use the name or a nick name.
Just to add im from the UK SOMETIMES i slip up and call her MATE i hate it makes me cringe when i do it and i have gone as far as stopping a conversation when i am just about to say it lol. SHe picked up on it and said you were going to refer to me as mate werent you? I was like " Yeah i was" She was like NP.... Errrr Naaa everytime i do it i cringe.
