Ok, long story short, due to examinations, i havent touch my piano in like 3 weeks. The other day, i started playing it only to find a nest of this little asses living in between the keys. When i start playing they start coming out from the gaps and running around the keys. I thought if i just continued playing while simultaneously crushing their home and children all of them would eventually get the message and clear out. However, its been 2 days sinceand they are still there.

This is really annoying me. If any of you have similar problems please share how to get rid of it.

You should probably go with bug spray. Start with removing the keys, if you can, or else you may not get all of them. Then just get some cleaning stuff to take care of the poison and its smell after its job is done. I can't really think of any other way.

That is so messed up....the closest thing I've had to that is ants in the computer keyboard. Bug spray is probably the only way. In future, make sure you wash your hands before playing, and don't eat or drink around the piano.

Well, I'm not na exterminator, so there might be something I don't know about ant removal.

Sprays and poisons, which I've already recommended, bait traps, which are mostly meant for stopping them from spreading or even showing up in the first place, and fire, which I'm sure I don't have to say why that's a bad idea, are the only methods I know of. I believe they have powdered forms of poison, but that would get messy in your piano.

I was hoping there would be some kind of dry method to drive them out of the gaps. Theni can kill them physically when they are out in the open. I might have to consult an exterminator if worse comes to worse.

Well, for driving them out you could use gas. If your piano is in a room you can seal off from the rest of the place, you could use anti-bug fog canisters. I don't have any experience in this, so I can't say if this would actually kill them or just annoy them. I'm pretty sure these are meant to be used like bait traps in most cases, though. Exterminators also use gas pumps filled with some pretty potent poison. I've never seen these in stores, so I can only assume you need to have a license of some type to handle it.

Sorry bro, wish I could be of more help. :(

Put down several towels under the piano and soak the entire thing with soap water. That should drown them. Then you could take a handheld vaccum and try to suck their dead bodies out of the piano.

SeraphimGoddess

I appreciate the suggestions.

Appreciate the reply people, but i forgot to mention its an electric piano, so im hesitant to even use bug spray. I'll probably try the vacuum suggestion out.

I'm surprised you even got ants in your piano :/ Are you a cleanly person? Maybe your room or wherever you put your keyboard is messy, and there's lots of food around.
