How was District 9?

Im surprised it turned out to be good. the trailer made it look awful

Did anyone else notice the guy using the halo sniper or was that just my imagination?

Though to be fair, I'm not sure how much he simply wanted an excuse to kill ALIENS as opposed to how much he wanted an excuse to kill ANYTHING. He sure as hell had no problems with hunting down Wickus. If the aliens had never landed, this dude would still probably be out somewhere killing people.

Awesome movie.

It was cynical, intelligent and brutal.

Special effects were mind-blowing and the acting was awesome.

it was a good movie, but not anywhere near the second coming like people are claiming. i went into a little more detail in the main district 9 thread (a good place to see what people here think of it...), so im not going to repeat myself. anyway, you might as well go see it. theres not much better playing in most theaters now.LoG-Sacrament

Overall it was really good. Some holes in the plot and some action/answers I missed, but a great movie.

Like Larry said from aintitcool.com, it an sci fi hand Grenade waiting to blow your mind away.
