too many users to really form anything more than the passing comment and recognizing sig/avy. Easier to get to personally know people on smaller forums

My social network is of moderate size... it depends on how you judge.
Most of them don't really talk about their real lives that much, but I do spend quite a bif time talking to them.

I have a group whom I have been regularly chatting with outside of GS for a couple of years now. I've also posted on a couple of off-GS forums, and I know some of the members of the FAU pretty well. People rarely PM me on GS anymore, but I guess I don't post very often on OT anymore anyway.
