I think they are a group of losers who think it's cool to cuss every 5 seconds, wear chains and shirts that go down to their ankles, and listen to horrible music about treating women badly, and having a bap rap sheet. In other words, I think being gangsta is a stupidfad that needs to die out.

which gangstas? The ones that die before the age of 28 or the ones that try to emulate them because it's a 'cool culture' that's outside of their own environment?

I don't know what a "gangsta" is because it certainly isn't an English word. If you mean Gangster, I think of it as someone who is part of an organized crime group. I do not consider the beat down, ghetto-trash groups like the "bloods", or any other similar group gangsters. They're just idiots completely devoid of intelligence or organization. When I think of a gang, I think of the Mafia. They had organization, goals, and a tight family. All the rap related, and American "ghetto" fad is nothing but moronic.

I can see why people think its funny, it sort of is, aulthough I think a few of them can pull the look off pretty well, most dont, black people aswell as white. If you hate that trend then you should hate every other trend out there too, they are all as bad as eachother.

Fake gangstas are funny.

The real ones are people you probably would avoid, and most of you have probably never even seen a real gangsta before.. unless you lived in the hood or drove through the hood in the wee hours of the morning. Real gangsta's have a f*cked up, crazy mentality. They are stupid. They have no sense of logic. Cold hearted. When a real gangsta gets a thought in his head, he acts upon it with no logical thought or thought of concequence. Act now, deal later. So if someone pisses him off, no thoughts, murder on his mind. Ya know what im sayin?

You make it seem like being a gangster is something to be proud of, and if you look up the definition of gang the bloods would fit it pretty well.

I don't pay them no mind ( yes, double negative) because, most likely, the fake 'gangstas' are the ones that are too afraid to mess with me in the first place.

You mean the ones you see in school? They're stupid.

I remember when I was in high school, grade 10, there were these guys that were playing dice and they were using money like dimes, pennys, nickles, and quarters  So this one guy put in two quarters and his friend was like "OHH WHY ARE YOU BOOSTING, YO!!??"

I'm thinking to myself, "Wtf  We live in Canada"

They're already there. I'm trying to remember who did the expose, but there are many incidents involving gangs in the military.

Yeah I heard some of them bring the things they learned to their gangs like tactics, but some of them are still people trying to better themselves.

If anything it's a split that I think gives people mixed emotions. One the one hand, a way to get out of a troubling situation and better yourself. On the other, a way to better the bad side about you.

gangsta's doesn't necessarily mean someone who is in a gang. In New Orleans (where I'm from), there are no gangs like crips and bloods. There are certian sets who will sell drugs and have each other backs.. but no real gangs. They got the porch boyz, dooney boyz, 3 n g, etc. They are groups of a few people. They are basically out for self. But they are gangstas. The theory of "have to be in a group" is wrong. It's a respect thing. If you have a big army behind you, that means your respected. It's like they thinking I'm a straight up killer myself, but if somebody starts something, look at everyone who'se gunna ride for me.

What? No. I wouldn't call it something to be proud of it. But what I'm saying is, I hear cases of people in poorer areas getting shot for wearing a wrong color. I mean, how stupid do you have to be that the most complex system of identifying each other you can come up with is colors? It just shows how stupid it is. And the thing is, they are still poor no matter what. They're still trash. Whereas the mafia had some power and wealth.

They are still a group of guys trying to accomplish the same thing(a gang)especially if it is illegal. Some of them may be in it for respect, but others may do it for money or protection from lone thugs.

The mafia would shoot at each other in crowded streets or restaurants and blow up public buildings. And these gangs like bloods don't really kill each otherover colors, there are certain bloods and crips groups that are actually allies. They do it for drug territory it is stupid that they hurt innocent people over a color who don't know about the wars though. I agree Mob orginisations are more organized, but judging by how long crips and bloods have been around they are smarter then the average street gang. Plus they do rake in a lot of money, but you can't just but a bigger house if you are making illegal money people would get suspicious. But either way all gang members are pathetic.

Also some bloods/crips have connections with the mob.

Gangsta's are just people who are sensitive on the inside and so they have a tough outer shell. I'm guessing it's the same with wannabe gangstas.

I admit they are still people, ut some are probably sociopaths too.
