I think they'd eventually accept it but things would be awkward for a while... I always thought my mum especially would be fine with it but when I introduced my gay mate to her and said she'd come into town with her girlfriend my mum went "I hope you're not going up that path" :o I was quite shocked tbh
its really interresting. many of the people here going "OMG GAYS ARE DISGUSTING" have once bragged about how tolerant and understanding they are. seems youre just hypocrites after all. oh, and if your parents dissown you cause theyre christian and youre gay ask em if they shave, cause according to the old testament, thats a sin just as bad as homosexuality :D
Not sure, I don't think they'd be suprised though, being that I've had awful experiences with guys and that I'm very liberal. Although, I'm far from being a lesbian...at this point, I'm far from straight as well.

My dad is basically the biggest conservative Republican Catholic alive, but I know that he would eventually get over it and continue to love me the way he'd always loved me. His brother is gay and he's coped with that just fine. I think it'd be awkward for a little while, but my dad would definitely get over it.
My mom would be a little surprised, but she'd get over it faster. My mom is fairly liberal in some instances. She had a ton of gay theatre friends when she was in high school and college, so she's pretty open-minded about that sort of thing.
They would accept me. It would be akward at first but I think my parents would be cool about it. My dad has a gay brother, so he probably already knows how to accept sexual differences with close family members.
