What good purpose could it possibly have?

Lets say 15 years down the line scientists have the technology and resources to create artificial humans from exisiting DNA of dead humansJust-Breathe
I believe they already have that. And they're just choosing not to use it. I'd think the cndition of the person the DNA came from wouldn't matter, as long as the DNA's valid.

My thought exactly, if we can already clone animals, plants, humans can't be more complicated. It has to do with moral values, I assume.

There shouldn't be two of anybody. We are unique.

It would depend on what it was being done for and what the legal status of the clones would be.

They'd use this as machines, to kill or to be used.

I'd rather see animals for food production.

No because its still not me...I would still "die". Unless you put my brain in the other one..or if I could at least have sex with one.

I don't think the creation of a human through such means should be taken lightly. Have a psychiatric evaluation mandatory and have to go through the government before being given permission. However I think using cloning to replicate organs would be/is great. Takes a heavy burden off of the healthcare system and ensures the organ will be accepted without any issue. You could also remove or at least severely lighten the load on blood donations. Theoretically it would allow the creation of replacement limbs as well.

Morally I wouldn't approve of it, but if it can revive a particular one then I will lose to it.

If human cloning could produce stronger, more energetic, healthier and more disease-resistant people then I'm for it.

"Mommy, who's my dad?" "Sorry sweetie, you don't have one." Great. This wouldn't be traumatic for a child to learn. I don't even want to begin taking into consideration the ethical implications cloning brings to the table. One more thing to be prejudiced against. F*ck f*ck f*ck no.

I think to clone people would be very questionable, very shady. I think it would lead to a lot of complications.

Yes, I am surprised at the amount of nos. Must be paranoia induced from too much Scifi-network.Dy_WarriorsXoXo

Simple. Many of them must of played F.E.A.R. and now they are scared of clones. I myself would like to have my own army of clone soldiers :D

Being at two different places at once would be pretty cool. But considering the potential of abuse, I don't think I would support it.

You can't clone someone like that. You can make a copy of their DNA, but their memories, experiences, etc. can't be cloned. You can't make the same person from their DNA, the best is that you could make a identical twin.

I dunno how traumatic that'd be... I'd not freak out, sure I'm no kid anymore, but I don't think it'd cause me to have freaked out when I was little, especially before I understood how the whole procreation thing worked.

I don't really see a purpose for an actual clone, but I don't see a problem with artificial insemination with synthetic or non-synthetic DNA, the result of either is a valid human.

Replacement organs, very scary... Increased human lifespan must be bad right?

If they can clone a sperm than we could eliminate men and the world would experience alot less violent crime.

And the world will be much easier on the eyes!

But, that means I have to either: Die, Get a sex change or... ? There's that immortality thread, I wanna take that route, so death isn't an option

There is no poin tin cloning, experiences remains a vital in the prices in life. A clone is simply a new human being that looks exactly the same.
If I could upload my consciousness on the Internet and then download myself in these clones, now that would be a nice start of a new world order.
