I cant believe i just got into How I Met Your Mother last week.

This show is legen...... wait for it.......... dary.

Just started watching How I Met Your Mother last week and im completely addicted to it. Im almost at season 2 ending already.

My friend kept telling me how good it was but i was never really into these kind of tv shows. Im so glad i started watching it. Its no doubt on my top 5, maybe 3 tv shows of all time.

And Barney is hilarious, i love that guy. The actor does a great job with this character.

I recently got into the show, too, and was really surprised. I still can't stand Ted or Robin, but everyone else makes the show worth it. I need to go back and watch it from the beginning.MichBelle

Just looks like your standard sitcom to me.

It's generally tough for me to get into sitcoms that have a laugh track. All shows I seem to like tend to not have one (Community, Always Sunny, Parks & Rec, etc). The notable exception in my case would be Big Bang Theory. Though I do like one or two of the actors in HIMYM, I've not seen more than one or two episodes.Engrish_Major

lmfao also I can never understand how Ted will grow up to be Bob Saget. But anyway i think its the best multi-camera sitcom with a laugh track out right now but there's several other sitcoms i prefer over it.

I like the premise, but the execution leaves much to be desired. Having a plot that can go on forever (and most likely will until a last-minute series finale ends the show with an anti-climax) and a laugh track pretty much kills the show. Nothing says "this show isn't funny" like a laugh track.gameguy6700

It's one of my favorite shows, if not my favorite. And you're right, Barney Stinson is the best character out of any TV show, ever. Even better than Dwight Schrute or Phil Dunphy or Tom Haverford or even George Costanza.

So I Love Lucy, Dick Van Dyke All in the Family, MASH, Roseanne, Cheers, Frasier, 3rd Rock from the Sun, That 70's Show, Seinfeld, Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, and Monty Python's Flying Circus are all shows that are terrible and unfunny? :roll:

I loved it ever since it started. Ive been watching from the beginning and have still been loving it.

I don't like it because it is mainstream.

I gave it a chance and didn't like it. I don't like laugh tracks either but I liked Seinfeld so I still give them a go. Seinfeld is still the only laugh track show I like.

It's a pretty popular show. When it's coming to an end it's going to be a big deal. She could start watching then or she could just check up on the internet or something.
