all my friends love animae and nintendo games. im not saying all nintendo fans like animae or anything but my friends do. im more of a xbox fps guy. im trying to get into animae but the only show i like is Digimon. im not sure if its considered animae but its the only show like taht that i can tolerate. is that a bad thing? i have no idea where the series is now but i was a huge fan of the original first 2 seasons or so. looking at it now it seems the original kids and mons been replaced or something. hmm
Find friends that you are comfortable with dont change your self or else you may never talk about or do the the things YOU like look for xbox owners and fps fans!
Meh, if you WANT to get into anime, you need to actually go looking for it. You can't just watch the stuff they air on tv, most of it is crap. If you really care THAT much about it, I can recommend some series, but if you're thinking about it just because your friends are into it I'm not 100% sure if you'll like it or not.

LOL i was gonna say something to that degree =) lol and don't feel pressured to like stuff coz of your friends. A lot of my friends are into MMORPGS and they try and get me into, but i just don't like it. I find no point in constanly spending hours leveling up just so you can get this new armor, etc.
Okay, If you want that then you're VERY likely to get into anime, there's a WHOLE lot of good ones in that setting. In fact, I'll recommend an absolute classic here: Cowboy Bebop. It's not like most anime, but I've never met a single person who doesn't like it.
Dude, I have the same problem. A good majority of my friends are asian and they ALL watch anime. None of it i've ever even heard of. Most of it's straight from Japan and stuff. The kinds that have subtitles and speak in Japanese and what not. They read like all manga and watch all these episodes online and stuff and they just do that a WHOLE LOT. I watch some cartoon like stuff, such as Family Guy and South Park which i'm not sure is even considered "anime". I also enjoyed Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh when I was younger as well as Dragon Ball Z. I've tried watching Bleach and what not but just don't get into it. I personally don't like anime and despite what my friends think about the subject, I won't ever change.
If you like space stuff, watch Cowboy Bebop. If you like science fiction, watch Ghost in the Shell. Those are practically the only two animes I like, and the rest are just too emo for me.

I dont get nintendo...Never liked Zelda (a little confusing of a game), or Metroid (Boring...nothing interesting came out of it...). I prefer my PS2 with KH and FF and God of War :D. Also, the seasons really die after two...its more of a let down actually...
Stop trying to force your anime on him :evil: this is almost as bad as trying to force a religion...Do you remember the KH2 to anime speech? It was sickening and almost made Mountain Dew cry :evil:

except.. human society is designed around fitting in. IT's the number one reasons humans are so dominate.. it's called culture. SO, like many people, you're completely saying all bad behaviour is because people are doing what they are suppose to be doing.. connecting with other people to form social bounds and team work. Regardless if its a poor choice of activity. It's how the human species works and leads us down as many good paths as bad ones.

I go in and out of loving anime and having something better to do. Right now I have a huge Inuyasha poster in my room and will stay up until like 3:00 to see the re-run of FMA if I miss it at 12:00 :lol:
Try some generally anime I like. Before I thought anime was a joke until I saw some good shows like FMA, Death note and Cowboy Bebop. Or even Berserk or Neon Genesis

You have to be in the right state of mind to begin with, then you should watch a good Anime like Heavy Metal or Vampire Hunter D, then you tell me if yo don't enjoy Anime ? OK ?
