Samurai Champloo took 26 episodes to tell a compelling story while Naruto took 200+ to tell a mediocre one.

Yea.. I think 50-60 is the max I go up to these days (25 a season), long animes really piss me off these days, and fillers in general also annoy me.

I never took Naruto seriously; he is an insult to ninjas.

I can't naruto seriously or any anime that goes on for +100 episodes. The ones that are shorter one or two seasons can pack in better character development, better story progression than any of those shonen stuff.

There really is an anime our there for everyone. We all have different tastes, I'm not normally into the drama ones but I just finished Clannad and I loved every bit of it. I guess thats what makes the genre so enjoyable is that its so diverse.

I can't stand Naruto. I used to watch it a long time ago, and actually liked it, but then one day I just stopped watching because I couldn't take it anymore.

I can watch anime. (I don't partake in those anymore though) But I can't take any super hero stuff into my eyes. It's embarassing. Especially for someone who games too.
