I am not sure what that is all about.

Religion has nothing to do with this topic, I dont see where it comes into this conversation about the superbowl.
[QUOTE="jonnymcl2k"]tbh rugby is more fun to watch (not that i do watch that so much either) american football just seems to stop and start too much. i watched a bit last night i saw only a couple of minutes of actual playing.B05T0N
yes... i did. not all of it but enough to know that it bored me too much to watch the whole game.

Don't mind him flavourt. He's just upset because he's realised that no-one cares about his crappy padded, commercialised version of Rugby and tries to take it out on someone else.

Considering how many people watched it, it's safe to say people care. Do I care if Europeans like it? Not particularly.

Americans care. Maybe Canadians. That's about it. The core of your 700 million strong audience comes from the nation it was staged in. Congratulations.
Put it this way. Your least popular American sport (Hockey) is the World's second largest sport. That's how polarised the USA is with the rest of the world in regards to sport.

then drop the arguement already.
it was a great game.. a sport does not have to be high scoring in order for one to apprecaite it.. to think that way is either 1) childish or 2) you do not understand the sublties of the sport fully.
anyway.. congrats to the giants... i'm glad they smacked brady's ass around all game..
btw.. how the hell did this turn into a "my sport is better than yours because its my opinion" arguement???

American Football is far more strategic, you actually have to know all the rules to get maximum enjoyment out of it.

You act like I dont understand this--I do. And? So what? We like what we like. FWIW, I love hockey.

It was aired on BBC over here in England and my God watching it made me realise that American football is as boring as hell. Constant stop start, stop start.Total-KO
that's what we think about your football as well...
PROPER football isnt really stop start though.
Yes, but maybe two goals are scored an entire game...
That's just plain American ignorance right there. there's a reason why two thirds of the world watch the FIFA World cup where just 700 million watch the Superbowl ya know.
I'm ignorant because I dont find it particularly exciting to see maybe two goals and like five good shots an entire game?
It's ignorant that you think that football just has two goals in each game and five good shots...
I've watched my share of games. I fell asleep during the World Cup. I dont think I'm alone at all on this either. Sorry, but scoring and awesome defense isn't exactly prevalent in 'futbol'...
What do you mean it's not prevalent? It's the core of every game! You are just blind ignorant. If there is no scoring, then wouldn't it give rise to the fact that maybe there is a lot of awesome defending? Your post doesn't hold up..
What's the core of every game? I dont find the defense to be 'awesome'. I find indoor soccer to be much more enjoyable.
Clearly no-one agrees with you.
Since when has the quality of a game been rated on how many goals have been scored. Ive been to a 8 goal football match and that was just boring as one team dominated for the whole time. On the otehr hand i have been to a 1-1 draw which was absolutely superb. American football just dosent do it for me, just seems liek original rugby for whimps.

So what's wrong with a countries home sport being popular there? Why exactly does America have to follow everyone else in regards to sport?
And please don't compare Rugby to Gridiron the differences are huge, making them uncomparable.
nooooooo that was the best super bowl in the last 10 years, maybe ever. Of all the sporting events to miss, it wasn't super bowl 42mohfrontline
Best Super Bowl since Rams beat Titans. I just wish that the Pats won.
