I didn't care about the Spider-man remake... until I saw the movies again.

I really wanted to see the Lizard! They were steadily giving Dr Connor more and more screen time which I thought was perfect foreshadowing to him turning into the Lizard in the 4th movie.

I remember as a kid I used to be scared asteriskless of the Lizard and I really wanted to see myself get over that fear and watch the villain many years later. Also was wondering what CGI was gonna do...

It was a pretty cool opportunity… were you hoping for the Lizard as well?

Although I never cared much for the Lzard I never found him scary at all and I grew up watching spider-man very young. Freddy and Chucky on the other hand... Now that scared me as a youngster!

I don't really care about the Lizard but I was sad about the reboot. Spider-Man 3 was bad but I liked the first two films and I liked the cast. Tis' a shame :(.

I'm not all that worried about it. They should have done the Lizard in the third one, and from what I heard they were looking to do the Vulture in the 4th. I mean, if they wanted to do both, whatever, but if they would have had another movie and STILL not had the lizard, then I would have been severely upset.

I'm happy for the remake. I never liked Tobey as Peter Parker and I never liked Kirsten as Mary Jane. The only thing they did right for me was the villains. Once they screwed that up (à la Spiderman 3), I lost all emotional attachment to the movies.

A fresh start is something to be excited for, none of us know how it will turn out, and we can almost guarantee it will be better than Spiderman 3. :P

They already did the Vulture in the first one though.

That was the Green Goblin.

Unless we're talking about a different series of movies (non-Tobey McGuire), the Green Goblin was in the first one. No Vulture yet.

They should have old and new villians. Old: Kraven, Lizard, the Rhino and new like Mr.negative.

I think the Spiderman movies were a shambles, and don't intend on catching this one

Let me guess, you're a huge fan of the comic books and they TOTALLY butchered up how you think Spider-man should be right

Oh also you hate the casting choices of course :P

I feel the Lizard would make the Spider Man movies too campy.

I want them to do Lizard, too. He always seemed like a good villain. But the reboot is unnecessary. I don't like this recent trend for starting again with a series. Just release a Spider-man 4 that doesn't have the same problems Spider-man 3 did.

Yes I know. The Lizard is the perfect villain for Sam Raimi with his experience in horror films. He added kind of a humorous, epic horror element to Doc Ock in the second film so imagine what he would did The Lizard. He would add the perfect blend of light horror and comic book action to the film if he did. It would have been epic. Oh well...never gonna happen now.

We should see the Spider-Man reboot with The Lizard. Hope its good. Im curious to see how they do another Green Goblin arc cause you cant do spider-man without the green goblin. Its like a batman franchise without the joker.

Yeah the vulture was going to be the villain in Spider-man 4 played by John Malkovich. Imagine how awesome would that have been...

Yeah he was. I just played Spider Man the movie on my gamecube and the Vulture was there. Both him and Shocker.

On the video games they're there, however that doesn't mean they're in the movie. Which they aren't.

This whole remake thing makes no sense, unless it has something to do with the purchase of Marvel.

Spider-Man 3 was bad, but it still made a ton of money.

Peter Parker's symbiote moments being so lame is probably because of the popularity of the movie and Spiderman as a whole. The makers probably thought if kids saw Spiderman being selfish and violent like in the 90's animated series, they'd start imitating him. Still, I would've liked to see Rhino vs Symbiote Spiderman in live action.

Anyway, the Lizard seems alright. Kinda hoping for a longer movie with both the Scorpion and Lizard. They're both main villians and tough customers, but not as relentless as Venom or the Green Goblin.

What happened in the 90's animated series? I don't remember him being violent or silly?

I wish they would stick to the REAL 90's animated story, Wheres the black cat?, king pin, spider slayers...i know its cartoon and its hard when it comes to real life, but im sure we have the tech to pull off at least a decent spider man movie, X-men was another let down, nothing like what it should of been, i love the 90's animated cartoons, sigh!!
