Because asians are small, they dont commit crimes becuase they dont have the muscle to do it, thats why i think.Solid_TangoWhy does putting a gun in someones face require muscle?
1. You are basically saying that reality is 'inproportionate' with your own view of how reality should be. Not only does this sound incredibly stupid, but you are saying that you would also like to see more crime in the U.S. for the sake of your own view on political correctness.[QUOTE="SkyWard20"]

I'm bored...so I'm just reading articles on Wikipedia and I came across this. If you read the article it'll tell you that 7 million americans are either in jail, on probation or on parole. 60% are black, 20% hispanic, 10% white, and just 5 % asian. I'm asian american myself i was born here so were my parents and I feel uneasy that asians only account for 5% of the crimes. I mean aren't humans all the same? there is good people and bad people regardless of race. So why are asians at the bottom of violence. Many asian countries have been in wars, there are asian gangs who commit heinous acts, etc. I can be just as violent as the nuttiest criminal in federal prison. I feel that it's inproportionate with reality. Most asians i know smoke, dropped out of high school, some even live in projects. Do these statistics seem weird to any of you?

2. Black people are in prison for a reason.
WTF? That is ignorant as f***. You say that as if there aren't whites, hispanics, and asians in prison. Criminals are in prison for a reason, not just black people.
True. I'm not an American, but to my knowledge, African-American citicizens ( who are approximately 12.4% of the U.S. population according to Wikipedia ) form the majority of convicted criminals in the U.S. I might be wrong though. Of course other races of people who commit crimes are in prison too. I'm just trying to pin-point the facts.mel gibson and danny glover want to have a word with youThat's just because Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan stopped them all.

mel gibson and danny glover want to have a word with you Oh, don't get me wrong. They were the trailblazers in stopping asian crime, but Tucker and Chan just finished it. :D1. Well aren't they? I believe the original reason for the chain of posts was due to the fact Sky didn't clarify that it was free of ignorant thinking (racism, ect). And quite frankly, it wasn't worded perfectly, either. So if he meant to say "THOSE Black individuals are in jail for a reason", it kinda didn't come off like that. Hence the reason the word "ignorant" was thrown in there, I believe.[QUOTE="Ultimas_Blade"][QUOTE="SkyWard20"] 1. I'm just curious on how the conversation with Sky and Ultimas will end, but from what I'm seeing, they could be seeing each other through two entirely different wavelengths, but may have a similar opinion if it was sorted out before the conversation blows up. (Example: If Sky was simply stating a fact that the Blacks were in there for a reason, and Ultimas, reading the phrasing, well, differently, misinterpreted, we'd have ourselves a few long posts dedicated to one big misunderstanding.)surrealnumber5
[QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"][QUOTE="wstfld"]The Koreans in my high school were pretty bad ass. No piano playing and 1600 SATs for them. -Big_Red-
I've been to South Korea. I remember a short (5 ft height? Maybe not even) Korean laborer carry my full-size refrigerator on his back up the stairs 5 stories into my apartment. I remember thinking about being careful not to insult the guy.
I believe what you're saying.
:o WTF??Yup. A little short guy carried my big full-size fridge up the stairs to my 5th story apartment all by himself. He and his companions were okay folks. But, they hate the Japanese with a passion. They wrecked every one of my (unassembled and boxed) scale model kits that had a Japanese meatball (hinomaru is the official term) on it.

I don't quite understand why it upsets you that we're at the bottom of the crime rate. Seems kinda dumb.lilasianwonder
I don't understand that line of thought either. Maybe he wants to have the image of this guy in which case anyone who desires to be like that guy below will end up dead.....like that guy.

Oh, that guy.
That's right. The murderer knew that guy.
It's a cultural thing.
Statistics that I have seen seen show that Asians in the US make on average slightly more than whites in the US.
Also statistically Asians have higher socially economic status than black and Hispanic people.
It is an unfortunate fact that because of stereotypes many employers are more likely to hire an Asian American over a Hispanic American, even if they don't consider themselves racist.
Furthermore many black people are stuck in these inner city slums where they receive a truly second rate education ('teachers' at some of these schools don't even have college degrees - they just take a summer course and they're qualified). This creates a sort of "vicious cycle" that it's tough to break free from.
To my knowledge there are very few if any actual racial differences (even if there are were they would be very small and would not begin to justify those statistics!)
It's just a matter of how you're raised, and how society treats you. S
o no those statistics don't seem weird, it's just a very unfortunate fact that hopefully will get delt with.
I'm guessing that's because asians are only 4% of the US population.
ChampionoChumps
did people in this thread honestly think that all the "races" (not that there is any such thing, beyond a silly societal construct that has changed even in the past century) were tied in population?
