same, although I think it is from my rising standards and falling quality in games.
They just dont make em like they used to, and thats not nostalgia talking either.
Simulations hardly come out any more
RPG-FPS hybrids that used to be perfect blends are now 90% action with a dash of RPG.
RTSs are essentially multiplayer-centric, with rarely an epic singleplayer campaign (last one I played was World in Conflict)

I felt the exact same way when I was 18. Remember once telling a friend that I'm not much into gaming anymore, he replied "it's a phase, you'll get interested again some day". Spent the next year or so not even caring about series I'm a fan of much. But as my friend guessed, soon after that it picked up and I got interested again. I also realized why I had lost interest. Being 18 you notice how you're entering a new phase in your life with college and work so it's a way for the individual to branch out and find new interests. There's no doubt that your interests and ways of thinking are alot different than how they were when you were a little kid. So basically it's normal, don't let it bother you much.
Yup you hit the nail on the head. The games that are ou now just aren't that good.same, although I think it is from my rising standards and falling quality in games.

I'm not tired of games, I'm just tired of recent games, it seems like there's hardly ever any games coming out that I'm really excited about, and hardly any games seem to stand out anymore. I've recently started playing the Megaman Legends series again, which is from back when games were interesting and fun.
I'm getting tired of competitive multiplayer games. I honestly can't deal with the people anymore. My tastes have now turned to good singleplayer and coop experiences.Dylan_11
This. I still love games. but I am starting to hate online games.
Im 25 and I love games. Not as big for the Multiplayer for me unless it's Halo or MW or something. Basketball games really get me and Bioware (everything they make)
Maybe you're just burned out. It sucks I know. It has happened to me, but lately I have had a nice urge to play again. Don't force yourself to play. If you don't feel like it you don't feel like it. Easy as that. There isn't anything wrong with you because of it. Maybe try and test the waters of a genre of games that you haven't bothered playing before.

What these guys said.I'm still in love with gaming, but online games are getting very redundant.[QUOTE="Lethalhazard"]Yeah, I'm like you. Though, I'm still hyped for next year. SC2 :D. HorseVillain
Soul Caliber 2?
Starcraft 2 :pI always think I'm tired of games, but then suddenly a good game reels me back in. It's cyclic. Right now Mount and Blade has got me in its clutches. That poopoo should be banned. Its like crack.
It's always fun to try a quality game of another genre. The old-school awesomeness that was Drakensang really got me excited about gaming again.
Remember, casual gaming is still gaming.
Btw, another recommendation for plastic crack is Torchlight. That poopoo is off the hook.

yea you know why?
Because its not about the competition. Its about unlocks, perks, achievements and stupid crap like that.
Nobody plays the game for the sake of the game; fragging an enemy or capturing a flag, that should be reward enough.
But no, its not, so they added all this bullcrap and now people dont play for the competition, they play for material (in-game) things
There is nothing wrong with you. Majority of games now to me are terrible and completely unplayable. There are only really a few I'll play each year.. mostly sport games with friends.wahts wrong with me? Im 18 years of age. Do you still like to play games? I also have a ps3 and a 360.

Thats why you should play Halo. Unlike in CoD, people actually care whether they win or lose. In fact, I would say that sometimes they care too much. Please Log In to post.
