[QUOTE="MagnumPI"]This funny because professionally engineered electronics should not be affected by water. That's why most electronics will operate in a huricane. I would assume an Ipod would have a GFI or some other type current regulator that acts as a circuit breaker to keep the device from overloading or shorting when exposed to water.
Don't have an Ipod, but it sound like a cheap piece junk. Not and electronic marvel. If properly engineered electronic devices couldn't be used in water seals wouldn't using PDAs and Laptops and the radio in my shower would have shorted out by now.

yeah as long as he didn't try and turn it on while it was still wet, he should be okay. Just let it dry first. Might have to replace the battery.
No if it's designed to operate in wet conditions it break before overload. No matter how wet it is when you turn it. And many devices can operate while in water. If the thing is made cheap which it probably is anything will short it. At the rate they sell newer models appearantly it wasn't designed to be used for more than ayear or two.
Anyway.. You shouldput it in a colostomy bag and pee inthe baguntil it's almost full then take it in and tell them you dropped your ipod in your colostomy bag.
