I find it hard to relax when we hang out or go to a movie or something. Anytime there is a fat or gay joke i get really uncomfortable because I'm not sure how much it offends them. I try to make sure not to laugh either.

I find the material funny sometimes and just take it as a light hearted joke and I kind of feel bad for them at the same time. If you fit one or both of these do things like this bother you? How much?

If you were out with a friend and they laughed at a gay or fat joke would the fact that they laughed bother you?

I have a black friend I am uncomfortable around as well. We watched Blazzing Saddles a while back and i felt uncomfortable the whole time even though i had been laughing at that movie for like 20 years already.
