I was in the same situitation.
After middle school I moved across the state and went to a new high school.
But I was able to make friends by the first week.
All you gotta do is get out of your shell and not be fake. Sooner or later you'll find people who have the same interests as you.
I like doing a lot of things so it was easy for me to make friends because I always had something in common with most of the people around me.
Looks like somebody doesn't have any friends.Investing in high school level friends is pointless. Chances are even if you dont move away you wont ever talk to them after school ends anyway.
Friends in general are pointless actually. With the advent of so many forms of solo entertainment there really isnt any need for personal interaction. Just find a chick who isnt repulsed by you and thats all you need.

[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]I kind of feel the same way. I have friends, but I'm not in a group, so I never go out much either. I tend to feel lonely because I just want someone to talk to all the time, but people don't want another limb. I figure a girlfriend is what I want... though knowing that doesn't help much.Quadrifoglio

same here.

If all of you don't want friends just because you'll never see them again after high school, that's like saying what's the point of living if you're going to die anyways?Witchking111111
I agree.
For the people who say "wasting" time with friends are probably people who had trouble getting friends themselves in life.
I think it's important to have friends and people that you can rely on.
As the people who say all your highschool friends you'll most likely "NEVER" see again after school ends, that's not true. It's your choice that makes it happen. If you try to keep in touch with them even after school, such as online, phone, play-dates, etc., you can develop some serious friends for many many years to come, and that would feel great.
I've never really had a problem with making friends or getting invites to places, so I can't really relate, but I think it's important for anyone to have them as an important part of life. Not at all "pointless."

Ha, same here...although I did try to remedy the girlfriend situation. Didn't work out like I hoped. :(
A couple years ago when I was entering my freshman year of high school, I transferred to an entirely different school. I left all of my old friends and haven't really spoken with any of them since. I've been at the new school for two years and I've made a few friends but most of them are more like acquaintances than great friends. I always feel lonely because everybody else goes out with groups of friends on weekends and I never get invited to anything. Even if I do go somewhere with a group, I feel like a tag-along because nobody really wants me there. :(
Also I think I'm kind of admitting this to myself more than you guys.
EDIT: to everyone telling me to join clubs, I'm already in cross country, track, and NHS. I just don't fit in.
