Big deal, my step dad head shotted a bird WHILE IT WAS FLYINGJuggernaut140
Uh, "shotted a bird"? Excuse me, but don't you mean "shooted" a bird?
No need to thank me for the correction...just what I do, homeslice.

Actually, it's "shot a bird".
I don't generally correct people's spelling and grammar, but I'm gonna make an exception here. You know, just to point out that if you are going to correct someone, you ought to at least make sure that your correction was correct.

Don't worry, it was sarcasm.

This wasn't a serious post btw
this happened on The Andy Griffith Show. Opie had to raise the baby birds till they were older after he shot and killed the momma bird. i think you should do the same.Mr_Anderson18Naw
Okay. today I was shooting soda cans with a pellet gun. The pellets were metal. I got bored with shooting cans so I decided to shoot a bird. I saw a bird on a powerline and so I took about 4 shots at it. I hit it on the 4th shot. I was hoping that the bird would just flinch and fly away, but it feel to the ground. After it fell to the ground I decided to see where I had hit the bird and I found out that I hit it directly in the head (I was actually aiming for the stomach). I thought the bird was dead until I saw how it kept trying to fly away. I began to see other birds coming so I quickly ran near the house and saw how the bird was struggling trying to get up. Other birds came to help it but there was nothing that they could do. I saw how the bird was suffering and I felt really bad:( Then I thought to myself,"what have I done", "this bird is badly wounded","how could I do such a thing". I couldn't stand to see the bird suffering so I decided to put the bird out of its misery and...shot it and ended its life
I felt really bad for doing this.:(
My question to you is, have you ever done something that you regret.
DarkSmokeNinja
I have a deer hunting story that makes this post look like a child's story.. if i told it i would be banned from gs for life:o.. all i have to say is don't worry tc you did the right thing in putting it out of its misery
Well it's not that bad what you did..
I mean hunters shoot birds all the times, and they shoot deers, and I bet if you shot and killed a deer you would feel worse.
Birds were put here for us to eat, just like cows, pigs and other animals.
I wouldn't ever agree with someone eating a cat or dog though, or killing a cat or dog.
Any other animal is fine though, because thats why God put them here.
For us to eat them

You won't be able to soothe your guilty conscious until you do that. Why don't you go shoot a couple more birds in the foot (aim low to compensate for your poor aim) them nurse them back to health: Let them sleep in your bed tonight, then in the morning make them waffles and wheaties with whole milk, so their bones get big and strong. Give them a light lunch of hand tossed salad (tossed with love) so they have room for their dinner of a 16 oz Rib-eye steak with A.1.(yeah, it's that important). A month or two of this, and they should be back on their feet!
Murderer! :P
So long as the animal didn't feel pain and is not near extinction, you're good in my book.

They stole that from the Andy Griffith Show! back in 1963...
Well, if it makes you feel better, this is something my brother does on a regular basis when he feels the neighbourhood birds are becoming too noisy. He's killed scores of birds with his pellet gun. When his shot doesn't kill a bird outright, he usually bludgeons it to death with a spade (if it's a large bird) or lets his cat tear it apart alive (if it's a small bird). :(
So, yeah, what my brother does is far worse than what you did.
I used to take ants and rip their legs off when I was very young. Now, I feel bad about doing that.cheetah_TM
Good, I hate ants:x
I wish all gross insects would die.
Well, as long as you feel remorse and understand that what you did was wrong.Hey_Jay
Let's not play that card. That's like saying I killed my friend but because I felt remorse it's gonna be alright.

You could have rushed it to a vet maybe. :?
while we are on the matter I shot a rabbit once and it fell behind a log and I thaught it was dead until it began flinching then when I took a look at it I noticed I put a bullet in its eye with a 22 rifle, it was still alive, poor rabbit
Don't do it again. Ever
To others who find violence against animals 'funny'. Karma will get you. You can be sure about that.
