What should I buy? Or should I save it? I've already got an Xbox 360, and an alright computer. What would you guys use it for?

Well, thats true, my car could brake down again, but I've already spent a grand in repairs for it already, and it only cost me $2200 to buy in the first place.
Where'd you get it? Did you have to work hard for it, or was it a gift?
Either way, I say spedn about 200 on yourself, buysomething you like, some games, music, some new clothes, whatever. Spend about 75-100 on someone (or several someones) you like or care about. Take them to dinner, or buy some small gifts. Save the rest, or invest it in a way that will make some money for you.

Ah, perfect. Do you like the outdoors?
This definitely depends on where you live, and your age.
If it were my money, I'd invest in a weapon. Guns never lose their value as long as they function properly. Of course, this is only because I already have a nice computer and car audio.

Well I live in Canada, and I don't think I want a gun, hell, I don't even know where I could buy one. Its definately not like the states here

Instead of investing in an object that might not down in value, why not invest it in something guarenteed to give you a return like a savings account, or an IRA?

Yeah, maybe I could get into ice hockey, buy some skates, an arena is close to where I live.

Yeah I have a savings account, well 2 in fact, and they both have $0 in them, and I don't know what an IRA is.

If I were you I would spend that money on backpacking gear. Like a hiking backpack, a tent, lightweight sleeping bag ect. Backpacking is frickin sweet, being in the wilderness away from civilization is really relaxing and fun.

Or, invest it all, and spend the money on nice things when that 1000 gets a good return. As for the loved one, whether it's a gf or family member, tell them that you love them, and mean it. Then buy them something nice with the return.

PS3 with Oblivion, Motorstorm and Resisance FoMjuicetino
I'm not really interested in the PS3, well at least for now. Actually I'm more interested in the Wii
