I got a call from the hospital. help please

I live in Maine, and I just got a call on the house phone from a random NC number so I ignored it. They called immediately again so I looked at the number and googled it. Its the central NC hospital and when I called back and got an operator I told her my name and said what happened and she just said idk and hung up on me. If this was serious would they keep calling or could some oldie just have dialed my number on accident.

Oh, my mom is out of town in GA, thats why I'm worried.

I did but she goes to sleep normally at like 9 o'clock and its almost 11 so she wouldn't be up.

Any time a caller immediately calls back I always pick up.

If they didn't leave a message, you're probably fine.

I wouldn't worry too much. Try calling your mom again in the morning. If you still can't get a hold of her, try the hospital again.

she literally said hello, i said "i got a call from this number and I'm worried", she replied with a drawn out whattt and i repeated my self. She said whats your name i told her my last name and she goes i don't know who called you sir and immediately hung up.

She has a history of drinking and driving and going off on binges where she gets drunk and drives for hours. I'm worried she might have crashed in NC. I was wondering if anyone had experienced something like this before and how they thought the hospital woudl treat it. Meaning, would they call me twice and stop or wouuld it be over and over and over.

Well TC I had a GF who worked in a hospital, she used to make calls to notify the relatives all the time, she was instructed to call some times but not to override the relative's phone with messages, my point is, even if it's serious you can't really expect them to call more than 3 times, it's a hospital they have other people to call. I suggest you try to contact them, perhaps it may be a wrong number but you never know I sure hope your mom is Ok Keep us updated tc, this is much interestingDarthkaiser

Apparently it was a wrong number because I talked to my mom and my brother that lives in NC and they were obviously okay. no big deal really. Just worrying to get frantic calls from a hospital at 1030 at night.
