i got harrased today because i'm asian

It probably is going on all over the world. People such as that generalize this the same way (perhaps not the same level of generalizing) as those who blame Islam for modern terrorism.

The best way to deal with this to not let it bother you.

Because there is nothing you can really do about people like this. 

i went to Lowes today to buy some wood frame for my house project, while waiting for the cashier to bring me up, this is what i heard from a guys who is not far from me, talking to his buddy.  "Thanks god Lowes don't sell gun huh, and he gave me a disgusted look and laugh along with his buddy.  They were mumble loudly f-ing ching" on their way out.  I'm just at loss for word man, i mean sure i understand they want to let their anger out but what the hell, why at me? i didn't do anything wrong.  I just hope what happened to me today is not going to happen to any other asian people around the world.EvilSpeaker

the reason I believe that there are stereotypes or people who are racist are just fearful. fearful that someone different than them is the same, or better, than they are.

some people in this country are racist ignorant bastards who cannot keep their mouths shut. at least I am an ignorant bastard who doesn't say out loud if I have certain prejudices (which I do because I've had some bad run ins with Asian people, but I still have a good amount of Asian friends, so it's not like I'm racist. however, every time I see and Asian person I can't help but think of the bad run ins I've had).
