It depends on the girl. Is it a spur of the moment kinda date with a random person or is it someone you know quite well?

Chances are the better you know them, the harder they'll be expecting you to try. With someone random keep it fairly neutral but throw in the odd curveball to try and set yourself apart from the other members of the eternal meat grinder that is human social interaction.

And yeah basically through the 80's it played host to all the popular hair metal bands of the time, and Metallica.

I was stationed out that way back in the 80s. I also liked that place out in San Pedro though I can't remember the name of the place. They would have several bands a night. I got so wasted upstairs while we were all rocking out (there was even a Japanese rock band there the night we went).
