Actually I'm pretty sure Norton destroyed the virus but not all the adware and spyware it left behind

You aren't going to find an easier way than those links that I posted. Let me give you a litte tutorial on the adware that you have, which isn't a virus btw so most antivirus programs won't do jack to it.
Somehow you got files on your computer and their only purpose is to slow down your computer and annoy you so that you'll buy the program from the adware maker who will remove the program from your computer. It's a scam. They make your computer slow so that you are tricked into buying their software to fix the damage that they caused.
The reason that it is so hard to remove is because it tricks windows into thinking that it's files are important to your system, therefore windows won't delete them. The adware wrote information into your system registry to tell your computer to start the program and to replace it in case it gets deleted. In order for you to correct the problem, you have to simultaneously remove all information about it from the system registry, delete the files in question, and delete and backup files that it has made. To do that, you have to make sure that windows hasn't protected the file as a system file; which means that you have to start your computer in safe mode.
I'm sorry to say that there is no real quick fix that I've seen.
