I have an issue with Naruto (newest developments in the shippuuden series).

I know Naruto is a love to hate anime show and is almost unbearable in its english form. My problem, aside from the fact that new episodes simply feel like nothing happens from episode to episode and feel so riculously short, is that Naruto is supposed to be rivals with Sasuke but he is seems to be so much less cool and less talented. Even in the new series where they are supposed to be older and more sophisticated Naruto only knows resangen and a varieation of that and his shadow clones and variations fo that. Then we see Sasuke who is just the ost bad ass character now. As rivals arent they supposed to be somewhat at the same level?

Who cares about Naruto. I only watch it for Rock Lee and Garra.Tylendal

Its stupid because whenever Naruto learns something new everyone gets all excited but thats so few and far between that its just a faint memory. I know most people like Naruto because of the other characters. People like Garaa and Kimimarro(spelling) are so badass then Naruto is just a fumbling idiot.

I understand he is not as sophisticated and basically has ADD with the ninetails fox in him but he doesnt manifest any cool powers except the few times he is being puppeted by the demon.

Hes been trained by the strongest of the Senins and he still does not know jack. Are the writers fearful that people will not be able to keep up with new movesets or something? Seriously it needs to change they need him to be learning new stuff once in awhile and have fans be interested in Naruto.

From the very start, Naruto was portrayed to be the weakest but he had a very strong will to succed and become a Hokage, which means that he must become very strong. Indeed, i must say that i am bothered by the fact that Naruto is still pretty dumb, naive and...still weak. Even this new guy Sai is portrayed in a way that he may be able to defeat Naruto if they fight together. But my idea is that, obviously Naruto is making progress and definitely at the end of the story he shall become the strongest.Viper-snake

its outright lame. Its absoultely frustrating when you wanna see Naruto beat some ass because he worked hard but all he does is get his shadow clones kicked around. I dont see him and Sasuke as rivals because rivals need to be on the same level. Probabaly the best era of Naruto was when they started showing him to be really powerful. That is right before Sasuke left. I remember them being so even and then they had their ultimate showdown near that waterfall. that was the pinnacle of the Naruto series in my opinion because they were not putting up all these barriers. Both Naruto and Sasuke had extra things making them more powerful and they were evenly matched. Then afterwards it was just a filler fest.

Yes that is really cool but they killed that battle it was short and broken up between long pauses. Besides that is not Naruto thats the Kyubi.

He can control 3 tails, there's nothing stopping him from eventually, down the road, manifesting 4,5,6,7,8, and eventually all 9 tails and power. It's a matter of control.

When he fought Haku he couldn't control himself before he even FORMED a tail. Even when he could manifest one, it took awhile and was hard to control.

Now he can just practically JUMP to three if he needs to.

Kakashi knows waaaay too much through his sharingan to lose against Shino.
He's just collected a huge amount of technique and fighting technique through it.

We don't know if Naruto is weaker than Sasuke! We haven't gotten that far.

Also, you don't know what else Naruto learned they only got into two fights since the series premiered. And I don't want to see any spoilers from manga, please :(

no he cant just jump into it tho he is gaining more control. there has to be something to trigger it. Beyond that this isnt his own chakra and his speed this is a supernatural creature pushing these powers on him while other characters can rival him with their own strength.

The coolest thing I like is that in a recent episode their new squad leader Yamato tells Naruto to use his own power so hopefully we can get some progress from that.

no he didnt that fight wasnt even serious and had abunch of setbacks. Like Jiraya having to save Naruto once Orochimaru saw him as a threat.

If you saw a fair fight between them and nothing got in the way you would see him winning. Fact is the there never going to give the fans the ultimate pleasure of seeing such a good battle so we get one with plenty of interuptions.

To be honest guys the anime is following the manga to each fine detai. So, the progress is slow because they want to be true to the manga and not start making rubbish crap up like Naruto learns to shoot laser out of his eyes etc.

But you'll soon realise that the format of filler episodes are always there to build up something big e.g. those who are upto date, next episode should be very good (i hope :P). Also trust me when i say Naruto will soon be using his inner demon fox powers to the max and then you'll learn why Sasuke and Naruto are rivals

BTW if they have to wait on the manga then next season should be delayed so the manga is way ahead so they dont have to wont on it.

Like I said Naruto using the demon as a crutch isnt cool for a protagonist and doesnt make him much of a rival. What I am excited about is that Yamato told Naruto to repress the fox and use his own strength and Im hoping he does that with Sasuke and gives him a good run.
