My beard just grows on it's own and I don't have one just because I seen a someone that may be "awesome" that has it.
I...I really wasn't expecting a sequel. :|

You didn't expect a sequel from a moderately high grossing action movie produced by a guy who kept Rocky and Rambo going for several decades?
The first one may have been the worst movie I've ever seen. It has no redeeming qualities. Chuck Norris redeems this one instantly.

WHAT??...lol..I think you and some others are trying to make this MAN movie into something it isnt. Its about oldschool action hero's and some newer guys coming together to make a good, ballstothewall, gun slinging, buttkicking, loud, explosive good time movie..thats it..nothing more. AND that is what it does..Im assuming most here are younger then me and didnt grow up with good action hero role-models? Everything is Ryan Reynolds and Twilight now..

Compared to Stallone and Schwarzenegger alone, Norris was nothing more than an also-ran in a group of A-list action stars. He never enjoyed anything near the success that the other two had in their heyday, being in nothing but B-grade action films. Most people can name Sly & Arnold's film off the top of their heads, but not a whole lot of people can do that with Norris. The only reason he's even relevant in this day and age is because of the stupid meme. Norris should be kissing Stallone's taint, because there's no way in hell he could be in a movie such as this by his so-called "star power" alone.

Well, I didn't see who produced the movie or even care who does really. I just didn't expect a movie that was somewhat stupid would get a sequel. Most movies like this don't.[QUOTE="hartsickdiscipl"]

The first movie was a terrible action flick. I could name literally dozens of "man movies" that did the job FAR better. Expendables was a loosely-written, poorly-directed, horribly acted movie. It was boring as hell. Not to mention that Stallone looks like he's made out of plaster. He needs to hang it up.. It's really bad.

At least Chuck Norris was a legit tough guy in the real world of martial arts. Also, there has never been a better (meaning worse) cheesy action movie star than Chuck Norris. All you have to do is watch 5 minutes of "the Delta Force" to know that I'm right. Norris is both a joke and a legitimate legend all at once, as are many of the stars in this movie. The difference is that Chuck does it all without voice inflection or change of facial expression. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I can't explain it to you. It's part of the legend that is Chuck.

I'm not denying his real life abilities, but you'd think with those skills, he would have been able to easily have a career as suscessful as the other two. Sadly, he didn't, and it's a shame. There's no denying the cheese factor in his flicks, and I do like some grade-Z movies every now and again. But when it comes to action movies, I'm looking for a well-shot, high-end spectacle, and his movies just couldn't deliver on that level.[QUOTE="VanDammFan"]

lol...k..well here's hoping you look and feel as good as he does at that age. in his 60s and could probably beat the h&* out of you and me..and growing old and looking old while can upset a person, it should also be a badge of honor..we've made it this far and lived a great life...so..plaster or not,he is a legend and still killing it.
Where is Jackie Chan? Come on i want jackie chan there too. Drakes_FortuneHe comes across as someone who wouldn't do it unless there's a big payday involved. Besides, he comes across as something of an odd man out along those heavy hitters.

I wish I had the link, but there was an interview a few years back that the only reason he does his American movies is to get the money to produce his international projects. And I'm not sure if he can continue to do they type of stunt work he's famous for. He's put his body through a lot over the years and he's not a young man anymore. Besides, I think he's taking his career to a more dramatic route with some of his roles lately.

He also mentioned his respect towards Robert Di Nero by saying he wanted to emulate him.
why not? It's not like this movie will be about the acting, plot, or overall substance. It will be about creaming yourself over seeing your favorite action stars/characters and turning your brain off for mindless action.ughhh why chuck norris

Good thing Blu-Ray was invented.
You can't blame American audiences for the failure of Scott Pligrim. Between an cast of internationally known action stars and a movie based on a comic property that isn't exactly a mainstream title opening on the same weekend, most people are gonna go with what they know. Besides, The Expendables did more business overseas than in the US.*sigh*
To this day, the fact that incredibles 1 destroyed Scott Pilgrim at the box office
is proof US film audience continues to go to *****
