thats really not a good program, and is not really even suited towards spyware as far as i know
adaware seems to work decently, but the thing is a lot of spyware is more sophisticated than the removal tools. youl lhave to do it manually.
the best way to avoid it is to stop using windows though, honestly.

I have Kapersky, which tells me if something is trying to change the registry, and I allow or disallow it. It's not free, but that feature alone is worth it IMO.

Some programs need to change some registry entries. It's like that. If Windows wouldn't allow registry changes, you couldn't install some programs.

Spybot already does that, and it's free. ;)

yeah thats pretty handy, i just think MS is irresponsible for not adding that feature in.

they kinda did something like this in vista, but it just tells you when you open a program.... kinda ineffective but i guessits a small step forward
