It works for me.

AVGEngrish_Major

thats really not a good program, and is not really even suited towards spyware as far as i know

adaware seems to work decently, but the thing is a lot of spyware is more sophisticated than the removal tools. youl lhave to do it manually.

Then download Spybot. Use it together with AVG or another anti-virus software.

Yahoo Anti-Spy coupled with a good anti-virus and internet security program in Symantec gets the job done for me.

I use Spybot more to be aware of changes in Windows register, but for malware and spyware I use SuperAntiSpyware. :)

windows could avoid most issues if they just didnt allow programs access to the registry. why microsoft wont do this is beyond me.

I have Kapersky, which tells me if something is trying to change the registry, and I allow or disallow it. It's not free, but that feature alone is worth it IMO.

Some programs need to change some registry entries. It's like that. If Windows wouldn't allow registry changes, you couldn't install some programs.

Spybot already does that, and it's free. ;)

all windows need to do is prompt you when a registry change happens, to allow or not to.

Yes, that could be a good safety solution.

Good. :) They should do more steps forward, though, you know.
