I need advice from OT's Love Gurus

I've got a girlfriend who I've been going out with for at least 3 months now. I met her at uni but we live about 5 hours away from eachother (we both live on campus though so it's alright). The past 2 months at least have been spent with her every day and I never tire of her company. We have injokes that nobody else understands and are hardly ever seen without the other one around.

We're on christmas holidays now and I spent a few days with her family before going home. I really enjoyed my time there and haven't seen her for 4 days. I've missed her like mad since then even though I know she'll be coming down to stay with me on the 27th until we go back to Uni. Now I've always been careful with the word love because it's powerful and when used at the wrong time can make things awkward but she misses me as much as I miss her. I've been asking myself this question for a little while now. Am I in love OT?

Tell her either that she means a lot to you, or that you care a lot about her.

You stay away from the awkwardness of the word love, but you can still express how you truly feel. Everybody wins.

I've said it to girls I'm not even dating, so...

unfurtunately yes,it's never late to upgrade your relationship status from love to lust though.

Love is a feeling, not some sort of super natural force. You probably do love her, but not very much. People call this sort of love, Puppy Love.

We can't tell you if you are in love. Honestly, if you haven't thought about it until this point, and you've been with her every day for 3 months, I'm surprised you haven't already told her. Unless either of you have had really bad experiences in the past, I personally don't see how your attachment hasn't reached that plateau point yet (where "love" is confessed and infatuation dissipates and real feelings start to manifest).

If you feel it, then it is the case. Don't go around thinking about it, or trying to rationalize it. It is an emotion, a completely non-rational reaction to the world.

The only one who has the knowledge and authority to make that judgment is yourself. Everybody else is going to give you an answer based on second-hand knowledge at best.
