I need advice..I'm wondering what kind of job I should get

I have a few choices..I want to be a video game designer but I'll have to move to a different city to go to a college, and then I'll probably have to move again to get a job at a video game company. It may be hard to a new city where I don't even know anyone.
If I stay in my city I may have to work at some fast food joint forever, or maybe I could be a janitor or something.

I'm not really sure what I should do, is it easy to move to a new city and not even know anyone or know where anything is in the city?? Is it worse to work at a fast food joint forever?? I really don't know what to do.

Follow your dreams. If you dont, I promise you will regret it after 30 years of making fries at Mc Donalds. I am originally from a small town and I left to move to a big city. Yes, it was scary, but I couldn't stay stuck there forever.

You need to go somewhere where there are opportunities for growth. You will always make new friends. :)

Of course you should move and pursue a career in your dream field. Don't worry about being alone BECAUSE YOU WILL MEET NEW FRIENDS IN COLLEGE..

Seriously, I only keep in touch with 2 friends from HS. The rest of my friends are either from college or work.

Being aloneseems to be his main reason for not wanting to move away. It's an understandable concern, but I dunno, I can't remember being bored or alonein college.

One the one side, you'll have a steady job and the familiarity of your own city, but on the other side, you'll be gambling with trying to pursue your dream. Even if you get your degrees, you may never land a job. However, if you want to stick to flipping burgers or cleaning toilets, you'll never know whether or not you made it...JustPlainLucas

It just seems so hard to go to college in another city. I've always had my family taking care of me and I'm scared to leave them cause then no one would be taking care of me. It's hard to grow up and be independant when it's so nice to stay at home and be taken care of.

I wish one of my friends or family members could move with me to a new city, but they probably wouldn't. I would just be scared of being in a big city by my self, I've never been on my own and to be on my own in a city I'm not familiar with is scary.

Yeah I know but when I am older I will probably learn to be more independent, I still consider my self young. I'm only 21 so I still got lots of time to learn to be independent.
