well i need to gain weight >_>
exercise (lots of cardio, weightlifiting), eat healthy, burn more calories then you eat.
not much to it.
since running can hurt for a fat person at first, just start maybe briskly walking for a week and then if you think you can run, go for it.
eat cellary: your body can't digest its carbs so you burn calories and don't get any back.
Do a barrel roll!SilentFireX
haha
hey dood just eat lighter and less, with a healthier balance. Go walking for an hour a day, do small sets of situps, pushups, stuff like that.
Its a start, when you get better go jogging, running sheds pounds like...string cheese?
I wish i needed to loose weight
Instead im trying to gain weight, and i have 33 pounds in 4 months(Lifting weights and eating ALOT of food and Protein supplements)
Gaining weight is harder than loosing weight, loosing weight is easy, just dont eat alot and do some cardio, gaining weight you have to eat and eat and lift heavy weights.

For real man. I don't see how people can't lose weight.. maybe if you have a medical problem. But otherwise, losing weight just takes a little bit of self control.
GAINING weight doesn't take self control.. it's a lot tougher. People don't realize that people trying to gain weight have a diet too.. they have to eat high protein foods and take in a LOT of calories. It's a lot harder to force yourself to eat when you are full than it is to just not eat as much as normal. People trying to gain weight also have to workout a lot. Heavy weights, very intense training. And you can never really quit.. cuz if you do, you will most likely lose the weight again.

I'm curious: how old are you two? I cannot agree that that putting on weight is harder than losing it, but that's coming from someone who is 30. If somesone's in puberty, then yes, it really doesn't matter how much they eat, because in those years they are growing extremely fast and need every calorie they get. Even in the late teens and early twenties the body still burns off calories at a more rapid rate.
I suspect you two are still in your teens or a bit later? No offense meant; people in their teens and early twenties usually have very high metabolisms and burn off fat extremely quickly. When I was 15-22 no matter how much I ate I couldn't put on weight either, working out or not. Now I can't eat anything besides extremely healthy foods plus do daily intense cardio to avoid gaining weight and maintain a steady fat/body index......which even at this point isn't ideal.
Also keep in mind that genetics and other factors play a role in how people gain, maintain, or lose weight.
My tips are: if you are 18, become a loader for UPS or FedEx. I work for UPS loading boxes, and its tough at first, but you'll start losing weight quickly and efficiently. On top of that you get paid and reiumbursement for schooling. Since late May I've lost around 25 pounds from simply working, and I really don't eat healthy at all, we're talking fast food 2 or 3 nights a week and not a whole lot of veggies. Although after reading another post I think I'll start eating more celery. Also, if you walk for an hour a day at the average walking speed of 3 miles an hour, you'll lose a pound a month. Just walking. May not seem like much, but in a year thats 12 pounds, which is a visual difference. Add UPS and a healthy diet to that and you'll be fit in no time.
Just think of it this way. 50 pounds takes quite a while to put on, so it will take quite a while to work off. You'll need patience and self discipline.

Gaining weight is the easiness. Losing weight is hard.Listen you probably eat fast food right?
Stop eating it, also start exercising, play basketball, baseball etc.
Start wieght lifting, it will turn the fat into muscle.
if your going to have a snack have an apple or something like that.
If you follow this you should lose alot of wieght, i lost 45 LB in around 10 months, it takes a while but it's worth it. Also the first 2 months will be the hardest, during that time you'll be transitioning from bad food to good food, so try and to slip up too much.
Take your weight in pounds and multiply it by 13 then that will give you certain amount of calories then deduct say 1000 calories a day. That would be 7000 calories a week you are eating less and you should loose 2lbs because 3500 calories = 1lb. e.g
Say you weigh 240lbs. You multiply that by 13 which comes to 3120 calories.
Then just deduct 1000 calories. Therfore your daily intake should be around 2120. Mix that in with some excercise you could be looking at 2-3lbs a weeks and just think in 8 weeks you could lose between 16 and 24 pounds. Not too far from half of your target. Sometimes you may lose more than that sometimes less but sometimes these things fluctuate so it is expected.
