I never hit a girl so I dont have to worry about it. :D
But what you did was totally stupid and you shouldn't have joked around like that to begin with. So in essence its all your fault.

poorthing. it's sweet that you feel remorseful about it, but take it from a girl-- she's going to use the whole 'you shouldn't hit ladies' bit against you big time. your best bet is to give her a call and apologize. be sweet and try not to blow up on her, lol. tell her what you told us-- that you feel bad for it, even though she was pushing your limits. the chances of her accepting right off depends on her attitude about the whole situation, and if she's an 'independant woman' like you said, then chances are she isn't going to. BUT, it helps you clear your mind AND if anyone asks about it in the future, you can honestly say that you apologized to her.
TC - You were in the wrong. Twice. Apologise to her as soon as possible for BOTH things. Also, try to understand that she probably hates you, and may not want to be around you. Don't write a letter- that's wussing out. Man up, look her in the eyes, and apologize in person.
The only time you are allowed to strike a woman is to protect yourself. Period. Are you telling me this girl was so crazy and tough that she was kicking your ass? I doubt it. You should have tried to restrain her, hold her arms, or get away from her. Any of those things are better than striking her.It sounds funny. Especially considering what her age probably is.She is one of those "independent women" kind of person and always acts tough.

You shouldn't have hit her. Ya ya, women treated equally, but the fact is you are probally 2-3 times stronger then her. There is no way she actually posed a threat to you.
But...since what is done is done, I think you should try and apologize to her in person.
Look, the insults she MAY have gotten over if she is really forgiving. No self respecting woman is going to even give you the time of day after checking them into a locker. The relationship is over, you screwed up big-time. You obviously didn't care too much about her in the first place or you wouldn't have done either. VetteMan85
Yup...agreed. In fact, don't be surprised if this has lasting effects with different people in your school as well. I doubt any other girl will give you the time of day after doing that either.
Now just listen to my little story of what happened today. Ok, so about a couple of weeks ago we were dating, and then she said that she doesn't want to be in a serious relationship and just wants to be friends. So of course that hurt, but hey we were still friends so that was ok. Today, this big mouth girl...I swear she deserves a sword through her head, anyway apparently she knew my ex and she came and talked to me about it. Basically asked why and stuff like that, I basically jokingly responded "she was a whore" and said other bad things. Of course I was just joking. So she goes and tells her what I said, and this is really bad because see my ex gets pissed off really easily.
She is one of those "independent women" kind of person and always acts tough. She came at me and started yelling and shouting at me really loud. She was physically shoving me and stuff and it got to the point where I think anyone would snap. So I pushed her really hard and she hit the lockers. Was silent, and she gave me that "i can't believe you did that" look. Now I feel terrible and I don't know if I should write her a letter to apologize or what. I mean, she was asking for it though. I don't know, I feel really bad now, and don't know what I should do. Also, don't post 'pics or it didn't happen." I'm not in the mood...
