You know, if you want to really think about it, the planet would be better off if there were more homosexual couples. These unions do not generate offspring. Right now, the planet is becoming overcrowded, and the governments and other such organizations are not able to take care of the expanding population base as well as could or should be. If there were less children coming into the world, it might not be as bad...muthsera666

actually I think I read somewhere that that is why we have homosexuals, from an evolutionary perspective.

Populations tend to expand too fast, not just humans filling up the whole world, but on a smaller scale, for example pandas could spread too quickly and run out of bamboo to eat. (just an example, didn't really happen). So it makes sense that nature would evolve a method of controlling the expansion of population, and the way it does this is with the gay gene. The gene only activates in something like 10% of the population, but it means less babies and thus it slows the population's expansion and gives an evolutionary advantage to the species as a whole.

Whether this is true or not, it is a fact that most animals have homosexual deviants just like humans. It's also a fact that this deviation is genetic, so the homosexual really doesn't have a choice in the matter. It's not like they can say "Well, sodomy is a sin, so I'd better just switch over to liking women now!" To discriminate against homosexuals is just the same as discriminating against people with Down Syndrome, or people who were born blind.

actually it's a little different because blind people agree that being blind sucks but gay people usually like being gay But the point is, they didn't choose to be different. They just are.

Unfortunately the kind of Christian fundamentalist who is homophobic will most likely not believe in the theory of evolution either.
