I think I'm in love with a Christian.

Well, may "in love with" is a little bit too strong. Perhaps it's more accurate to say that I "almost sort of like her."

But I like everything about her except for the fact that she's a Christian, is immature and irresponsible, and isn't very good looking.

Basically you dont think she is good looking, and dont like her personality. You also dislike here Chrsitian values. Therefore, I suggest not dating her. Find someone more into Athiesm is my advice. Than again, screw me I've had bad relationships just like the rest of us.

Ok lets look at this with reason. No one ever said Christians hate gays, Christians dont like the fact that they have sex.There is a major difference there and you seem to immature to notice it. My question is, what are the chances of us being happy together? Because I'm a really hardcore atheist, but on the other hand I love Jesus. But I only sort of love Jesus. I mean, I try to be like Jesus, but that whole thing about how you need to give your soul to Jesus in order to go to heaven is a crock of ****. I try to be like Jesus a hell of a lot more than a lot of the people who claim to be his followers, and I'm a freaking hardcore atheist. I say that you shouldn't love Jesus because you want to get into heaven, but rather that you should try to be like Jesus because Jesus was ****ing awesome.

Also, funnily enough, maybe I like her because she reminds me of my mom. Like, my mom is always praying for my soul because I don't believe in God. Meanwhile, my dad is so non-theistic that he's not even an atheist. He doesn't not believe that God exists, he just plain doesn't think that it's even worth considering.

But hey, things worked out for them. They've been married for several decades. Of course, they also don't really get along that well, and they're always yelling at each other, but they still seem to love each other. If it could work for them, maybe it could work for me?

Ok lets look at this with reason. No one ever said Christians hate gays, Christians dont like the fact that they have sex.There is a major difference there and you seem to immature to notice it. Not just Christians dislike gay acts, Muslims hang gays in Iran and Arabia, many Jewish families disown their children that are gay and the list goes on. My point is Christians are alot more accepting of gays than alot of other religions even if they dont accept the sexual actsthey partake in.

She wont have sex before marriage. HMMM that is hard for most people I understand, but it is a fact that far more couples that have sex after marriage as opposed to before have more successful marriages. If you look up the statistics the couples that have premarital sex have way higher divorce rates. There are dozens of other problems like getting pregnant, STDs, and huge family problems. So I still dont see whats wrong with Christians.

So you seem madly confused about Christians. It seems from what you said that you take example of christians from your parents that seem kinda extreme. Why dont you open your eyes and see that are so many good Christians out there.

To be fair I know what your talking about with those overzealous christians that try and shove their beliefs in your face and it is annoying but that doesnt mean they are monsters.

I believe in God because it seems more foolish to believe that the world slowly evolved from nothing. It makes alot more sense to believe that maybe we evolved from apes but some supernatural power started it. I believe in God but I am not one of those overzealous religious.

In fact atheist oriented beliefs have caused way more problems than people realise. Peple always say religions cause so many wars. Well what about countries like the Soviet Union and Nazi germany with huge sentiments aginst the idea of a creator caused more death than any of us could ever imagine.
