Italian food is the best in the world.
When you hear about a nice restaurant... it's italian.
When you hear about an expensive restaurant... it's italian.
Pizza... is italian.
And Italian food is not limited to Pasta and Pizza. It goes onto chicken and veal, a variety of deserts, Nutella is Italian (not some brand of Asian, as many people make the mistake).
I'm Italian and can tell your view on the food is extremely limited.
Also, Olive Garden is terrible compared to a good Italian meal. Just for sake of argument.
'Cause you are not eating real italian LOL, you are American and are eating Americanized Italian, you have NEVER actually tasted real italian.I don't really see the apeal of it. All it is, is some pasta, some rotting meat, some tomato sauce, and some rubbery cheese melted over it. Most of the time it's either disgusting or really boring. It's also bitter. I must admit, pizza is pretty good, but pizza in a way is American. Also stofers lasangna is good too. Rather than that, its pretty much overrated.

Depends on the restaraunt. I love good italian food, but if you have anything all the time, you wont like it.

Yeah, thats the problem with italian food in the U.S. Especially stuff like meat balls which I agree is just disgusting. Its an insult to real italian food.
Then go to a good Italian restaurant. Buca di Beppo is a very good restaurant. Buca's is just another chain resturant, although better then Olive Garden it sill isn't close to what a local italian resturant can offer. Where I live we don't even have an Olive Garden in the city that I'm aware of and we are the 2nd largest city in the state, but there are plenty oif family ran iltalian resturants. To the other guyt that said you need to pay 25-30 bucks for a "good" meal is just ridiculous you don't need to pay anywhere that to enjoy local food whether it's mexican.asian or italian.
YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO EVERYONE!!! I LOVE ITALIAN FOOD AND I WOULD EAT IT AND REPLACE MY BLOOD WITH IT IF I COULD.....YOU SIR ARE A SAD PERSON
Theokhoth
Uhhh....you might wanna re-think that statement a bit.
You wouldn't replace your blood with alfredo sauce?
*Debates whether or not to make you my enemy*
Of course not. I don't wanna die first of all. And secondly, I'm already Italian. So therefore, my blood is Italian.

Since Italy is a much older nation than America.. basically all the food origins here come from Europe anyways.. the only real traditional American foods would come from the Native Americans.. SO, that being said.. you don't know what you're talking about. And I'm convinced as long as something is from America you'd always think it's better based on your other posts. That's called ethnocentrism and it's not very beneficial to yourself and a collective society. Remember, tomatoes, potatoes, chocolate, and most peppers come from the americas. Imagine Italian food before tomatoes!Pizza is as american as poutine is. And bitter? Rotting? What is this i don't evenjoao_22990Poutine is of North American origin.
Poutine is of North American origin.dsmccrackenDamnit! You got me, sir. You sure got me.
Shut up you know what i mean
I've been to "italian" italian places, and I didn't like it for the same reasons listed. I've had homecooked italian food, and I still didn't like it. Maybe a lack of meat? Idk.
That is pure blasphemy. Someone needs to repent.I don't really see the apeal of it. All it is, is some pasta, some rotting meat, some tomato sauce, and some rubbery cheese melted over it. You have no idea what you're talking about, at all. Yeah, americanized Italian food is absolute trash.
Go to Italy/Sicily and try some of their real food from real ingredients. If you don't see the beauty in their recipes then you have no right to talk about food.

I'd rather be in the field with an M16 over an FN Scar any day.
I'd rather be on the road in a Chevy over a mitsubishi any day.
I'd rather rather play American Football over soccer football any day.
I'd rather use inches over cm any day.
It's just cause I like my country, and I don't like italian food not cause it's not American, but because it taste bad.
Italian Food is awesome! What's wrong with you?
DO you live in the South or the DEEP DEEP South

Depends on the place and the way your palet has developed. I for one have been predisposed to loving mexican food because I have eaten it my whole life.
