I think I've finally realized something very important.

Christians and whatnot go crazy over the abortion issue. And despite such I very much distance myself from such zealotry as them. Well during the past few weeks, I've been having realizations and been coming to terms with certain parts of life and who I am and things I must deal with. Part of the equation was realizing that we as human are both subject to our biological instincts and out of that grew an immense respect to life, animal, plant, and human alike. And part of that has made me want to protect life. Not just human, but all kinds from being destroyed in ways it shouldn't be. However, when it comes to the abortion issue I'm decidedly against either side, be it pro-life or pro-abortion, I'm against the idiots who do stupid things like make abortion an issue in the first place. And of course I want life to continue but at the same time, some created life can be detrimental to the life in existance already.

But taking all that into account, I must say it. I must cherish life, protect it, and defend it.

This probably won't get as many posts as these threads usually do because abortion isn't in the title.

Yet another topic that tries to spark some sort of intelligent conversation. 3/4 of gamespot won't even care about this topic. However, if you blog , I'm sure those on your friends list will see it differently.

That's what i'm saying. If the technology exists then it should be available to those who want to utilize it. The decision has to be hard enough to make in the first place.

As much as I am to fight the forces that be, I almost don't want to support any stem cell research or over the top medicine considering it's possible our move to things so out of natural placement might have been the reason why we are suffering in the first place. Technology might have screwed us in the butt this whole time. War, smog, terrible unnatural healthy diets, etc. may all be the reason why cancer is so much more prevelant, and finding "cures" is almost some ironic idea in my own opinion. We have so far to go before we can reach true health. Technology is good, I love technology, but it's obviously done alot to destroy we as people and human beings. I almost desire us to be punished, but at the same time I myself and others must suffer at the hands of stupidity and we commit ourselves our sins and act without foresight to what may be. I hope it's not a God-complex, but maybe it's my desire to make people finally put some real effort into better ourselves as people in real ways as it seems that our own demises and losses are the only motivations.

Technology is the reason the average life span of a human (70 in a modern society like ours) is roughly triple the life span of a human that is born and raised in the wild. Technology is also the reaon I can tell this to you and the reason I can see this. Basically, technology isn't some god complex brought on by our advancements, nor is it the reason for our problems or our wants. Technology will be the reason Cancer will be erased from human history, it is the reason we know the Earth is round and it is the reason common diseases aren't wiping off the human race. It's the reason we can exist for so long inidividually to triumph through ourselves. It is the reason there are six and a half billion people who can read what I'm typing. It has far from destroyed us, it has made us triumph as a species. It took six thousand years of accumulated effort to send this message to you, don't be ingrateful.

I could never imagine living without our crucial technology, but I do think we as a species, is spoiled. Like I said our technology is improving our lives but at the detriment of other fronts of our environment. My concern is if it'll come back and bite us in the ass. Cars, aircraft (btw I'm an aviation nut) and what not has despite provided us with quick means of transportation as well as power for factories and electricity, it's created massive amounts of acid rain, and destroyed parts of the atmosphere. Sure we are finally realizing what we've done wrong in that area of technology, but what about nuclear waste, trash waste, and other left overs that destroy parts of the environment. There have been studies linked to the increase in cancer being analogous to decreasing levels of oxygen in the atmosphere caused by pollution and destruction of vegetation, especially that of the rainforest. No I'm not a supporter of Green Peace, but I do believe in conservation and globalization/civilization with concern, intelligence, and responsibility. Things that humanity has much to improve upon. I'm not trying to judge but I only want things to continue, I want life to continue to exist on this planet. Now depending on your view of this phrase, I like to turn it around back on others: "Be fruitful and multiply". I wish it could be changed to "Be fruitful and multiply, but don't be stupid."

the father should have just as much a say imo. the way i see it is that pro choice does not mean pro abortion in the first place, and it is better to have a safe choice than have to choose between a wire hanger and a falcon punch.

LOL So off topic, but I got way more attached to FFX's characters than in FFVII's lol. Nice quote though lol.

It really isn't about sin, but about intent and foresight I think. We must be mindful of who we are and what we do. Maybe with a little change, we can make everything better for ourselves and everyone else.

So it's not really about good and evil, it's "jenseits von gut und bose."
