[QUOTE="mechworrior762"] [QUOTE="Keenzach"]if a band has 90% sad songs Im going to call them emo regardless of what you think. Bands like this are the only ones I see called emo if it was like you said every band in the history of the world would be emo since they have at least one depressing songJuggernaut140
Agreed.
However: Name me an AC/DC song that is sad, and I will give you either my PS3 or my 360.
I don't listen anything even related to that kind of music, so I don't generally end up calling music emo, because I never listen to that stuff.
I pretty much like stuff like: AC/DC, a little Judas Priest, and some modern stuff like Distured, Breaking Benjamin, Drop Box is ok (only heard a couple songs, don't really know how modern they are) and some Nickelback, though most of their stuff I don't like, but Burn it to The Ground FTW!
Well then you're both wrong seeing as emo is a sub genre of punk Someone who is sad or depressed is emo now? That's incredibly poor logic. When did I say it wasn't? Also, not people that are Depressed depressed (e.g. someone died). If that makes any sense.
