I completely agree with xile....
However I think that Aruba garners quite a bit of attention due to the fact that its a very popular vacation destination, making it intriguing when such a thing happens. But when compared to other countries overall, its pretty miniscule...
I hate when people compare this to the Natalee case. Really from what I've read the biggest similarity is that they both went missing in Aruba and they both happen to be women. My question is, so ****ing what? Does nobody watch the news in their own country? People (women, men, children) go missing EVERY SINGLE DAY in your country. Murders happen every day, people are drugged and raped every day. Why is it so significant when it happens in Aruba, but it's ignored unless it happens to make headline news for some reason when it's on home turf? And it's not like these women even went missing in rapid succession or anything, like there was a serial killer on the loose. Natalee went missing in 2005. This happens to be 6 years later. There have been thousands of missing person's cases and murder cases in the USA in 6 years, why is this one more significant than any of them? Sorry for the rant, but I think the comparison is ridiculous.XilePrincess
Its just the media blowing crap up into a bigger deal...Its a big deal yeah but the media is just trying to recreate the Natalie thing.
I'm sure Nancy grace will play her part in demonizing aruba even more then she did a few years ago....I hope SHE vanishes.
