Just because someone is an imigrant dosent make them lazy
Nah, I was just kidding. :P
Shouldn't you visit the place before making a commitment like that. spark5050
Sometimes you just gotta take a risk and go where your heart tells you.

Don't go to London! Or Manchester, I'd probably suggest Yorkshire (Not just because that's where I live) Go to York, or Lincoln they're really nice places.

Yorkshire is nice. I live in West Yorkshire, and to the north is the Yorkshire Dales, which is rather pretty. So you get that, plus the city I live in, Leeds, is still one of the biggest in the country. Best of both worlds. ^_^[QUOTE="Tauruslink"][QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]Stay out of London unless you want to be broke within a week.Bourbons3

I'd recommend London. Why would you take all the bother to come to England, any not stay in London?[QUOTE="Tauruslink"][QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]Stay out of London unless you want to be broke within a week.braindead_hero

Manchester? It's awful! Firstly theres a high rate of crime and secondly I wouldn't call it a very cheery place.
EDIT: and chavs, so many chavs!
As a way to get in to the country itself, you need to apply for residency (you can do this on a government website) where you basically have to prove you can speak English and have some knowledge of the culture and can actually contribute to society, seems as you're american and have a decent education, you'll probably get inbraindead_hero
Yes, I do speak english. And I already watch some British tv like Top Gear (my favorite show), Britains Got Talent, and Braniac.
What about college? Can I go to college there?TauruslinkYeah, but I think it will cost you more... a lot more.

You should be able to, if you get residency I'm sure you'll find a decent college, how old are you and what grades/qualifications have you got?

Well, as long as you're not a scouse or one of them cockneys...you're pretty much safe. Hmm, I don't know about yanks though.

Yeah, it's not very friendly, I can't imagine them in Manchester taking a shine to the American accent

I'm 16 (going to be 17 by the end of this month). I get decent grades. I'm in AP/Honor classes and this semester I got a 4.5 gpa. Keep in mind though thats the best I have ever gotten. I usually get around a 3.5, but since this is going to be my last year, I'm aiming for a 4.0 or better.

I believe that is fairly high (not too sure though as we don't use GPA) but I'd suggest finishing high school then coming over and as far as college is concerned in the UK you finish school at the age of 16 and finish college at either 18 or 19 so I'm guessing a US high school diploma should be the equivalent of an A level so there isn't much need for college, you could go on to university, which I think is the equivalent of college in America however there will be fees, I think you can apply for student loans and government grants but I'm not sure how many you will be entitled to.
Overall I will say if you are serious about this, as an American (I am assuming you're american) it should be relitively simple to do there are government websites you can look into if you're really interested

[QUOTE="Bio_Spark"]Batman can teach him how, he could also borrow some shark repellant batspray which is really handy when fighting sharks..Swim.
You may have to punch a few sharks.
Erasorn
Haha, that film was so cheesy, how ridiculously convenient is it that the one day that he gets attacked by a shark he happened to have packed shark repellant
