I was raised in an Christian family and we always go to church every week. However. when I entered the college life a year ago, I live on my own and I just don't have time to go to the church. Since 9 months ago, I never literally opened a Bible or pray.

Tonight however, when I was already on my bed, I felt like I need to communicate with an "old friend" of mine and without thinking I jumped off the bed, find my "Our Daily Bread" and Bible and sat on a desk. It was clear though, after all of the exams and projects I've been through, the guidance that was simply exist in my mind a year ago was gone already.

Weirdly though, the first time I open my "Our Daily Bread", I saw a title "Wounds that Heal" and the passage comes from 2 Corinthians 1:1-7. In verse 3, it is said "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort" Once I've read it, I suddenly weeped and realized that I've been neglecting my religious growth and simply being an ignorant. I just prayed for 10 minutes apologizing of what I've done to God. For me, this is a really touching moment in my life...

P.S. For those who just don't believe the existence of God or simply think that religion is a foolish matter, please don't start and argument

"I was raised in an Christian family"

chance of not wanting to believe in Christianity? 0.01%

nah, i probably shouldn't troll your thread. but why make it? for reassurance from other Christians? i don't see the point?

Thats good man.

I always used to say I was a christian, but I can now see that I was just talking the talk back then.

I've met so many christian folk at college and they are helping me grow spiritually ever step of the way.

I believe in god, but I dont believe in organized religion. Religion is man made BS in my opinion. God knows what you believe in your heart and knows what your doing in your life. He isnt there at the church door taking roll call.

I dont think it was intended to. Have you noticed that practically ever "religion thread" ends with "oh and if you dont believe with god please dont post". I honestly think the intention is always for people to post and argue, otherwise this is surely far more suited to a blog? :P

That's nice, but you could have blogged it. There's not much to discuss here, unless you WANT to start another relion war thread.

This really would work best in your blog. It always invites trolls otherwise.
