As a Persian, I'm extremely angered by this, and would like to raise attention for what's been going on in Iran the last few days.

http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-375842

Watch that, and tell me how anyone with a right mind can run over someone like that?

It looked pretty chaotic, so I doubt it was done out of malice.

Why are people still protesting with signs and rallies? Start killing.. seriously start killing officials and start killing those police who commit those acts.

Guns are prohibited in Iran. Stones only get you so far when you are facing armored men with batons and guns.

True, start a terrorist group and assassinate political figures against your cause.

No worse than what they did in China, running over students with tanks.... It's crazy and sad that this kind of stuff happens.

Sad but it's the only effective method, most radical change like this only comes through violence.

It doesn't work that way. The only way to over throw a nation like Iran is either with out side force.. or within it's own military. There is very little the people can do.. especialy when their major religious leader supports the Governments action.

If I'm not mistaken that happened at the same time/place as this video in which case it occured at a police station that had been successfully overrun and destroyed by protestors.

edit: I should add that the video I linked to contains disturbing content at around the 4:09 mark.

Quick explanation for those of you that don't understand Farsi. The first man with the bloody face was a cop, and the people surrounding him were shouting "stop hitting him" after he started to bleed. That's where morals kick in. The second man that was on the ground was a protester, and someone shouted "they hit him with a car". The reason why they took his body into that car is because the government tries to take the bodies of the casualties in order to prevent accurate numbers of casualties to get out, and so that their families can't hold a funeral for them.

I completely agree that the consequences are horrible.

But at the same time, itis beautifulthat there are large numbers of people out there still willing to hold protest (violent and physical protest, too) against corrupt and/or oppressive governments.

It is almost inspiring in a way.

And while that specific incident and many others are extremely depressing and tragic, in the grand scheme of things it will likely be a worthy sacrifice if the Iranian people get what they want. If that death motivates 1000 more Iranians to protest, it would be worthwhile.

I wouldn't really put a "price" on the death of someone, but I can see what you mean. The more people they kill, the more Iranians that are angered and want to protest. It's starting to be a lose lose situation for them really.
