[QUOTE="crowleyjohn"]Give me one example of how you were an ass to a complete stranger in real life and got away with it. Not a friend, anyone can be an ass to a friend and get away with it. I'm talking some guy at a gas station, an old lady crossing the street, a group of protestors, etc.
HupHupOranje
I mocked a couple sitting outside of a McDonalds once. They were both fairly obese and I shouted some verbal insults about their weight. They looked over, were clearly peeved with my actions - yet did nothing. A vast majority of people are far too timid to actually resort to physical violence, and far too lazy to pursue any type of formal action.
Are you what they call a Chap.

Well seems to me you pick very cautiously your prey. Big deal, a fairly overweight couple, a COUPLE eating at McDonalds, where all the real bad asses hang out lol. That shows that you're a fairly bored person but that's about it. Besides you should be made fun of for eating there, fat or not, I'd rather eat fecal matter, it's safer.
Anyway, of course a couple like that wouldn't come after you and I'm willing to bet you didn't exactly hang out in front of them after saying what you said, you probably ran to your car haha.
Do that to a group of dudes your age, just hanging out, and do it in close enough range for them to do something about it, otherwise you're a coward and the people you pick on are just regular folk.
Actuallymocka bunch of huge muscular drunk skinheads from 5 inches away, I beg you. I'll give you 10 dollars.

If I could find skinhead, I'd take you up on that. But we're getting away from the point here - I'm an *** simply because I enjoy it. What is so hard to believe about that?
[QUOTE="crowleyjohn"]He wouldn't really do this. I guarantee he isn't as much of a jerk as he says he is. Anyone who would go to a theatre just to yell out spoilers would definitely get their ass kicked by someone there.
I just have one thing to say, in all my years on earth I have never run into someone that is a complete ass based soley on the fact that he thinks he's better than others and wants to cut them down for it. EVER. Not even in highschool. All the bullys and jerks in highschool were kids that were beaten by their fathers. No one has the guts to be that way in real life based on ego if their life is amazing, especially not to strangers. No one. That kind of fake bravado only exists on the internet.HupHupOranje
I have a single word that sums up your post: assumption. I honestly enjoy being mean and doing things to get a rise out of other people. If someone takes something so seriously, I will likely challenge it (in a very rude way) - even if I agree with their belief. Simpy because I laugh when I see people get worked-up over fairly meaningless things - like threads on the internet.
You enjoy making people feel like **** for the things they love huh, you like a good challenge? Maybe you will one day. Life has a way of punishing you, I know.

No one is. That is what is hard to believe about that. No one that lives a good solid, fruitful, enjoyable, fullfilling life is an ass to others simply because they enjoy it. No one.
I'm a sarcastic cynical grouch often. But the only kind of person I'd gladly pick on in real life is the exact type of person you claim you are and I'd win too, because I just don't give a crap what people think of me. In my 28 years on Earth, I've never run into someone like you claim you are. Never. Not even in scummy sections of crowded cities. Not in clubs, movie theatres, stores malls bars, nowhere. So that is why I am finding what you say hard to believe.
Maybe it's because I seldom travel alone. I usually travel with friends who are equally ambivalent and immune to the sort of harassment you say you are capable of. None of us are bullies but all of us are far from pushovers. We exude a calm and control that throw most people off. I could walk into a room full of rabid pitbulls and not give a crap. Not because I'm a tough guy but because I just don't care enough to worry. I'll look right through a person as if they don't even exist if they tried to throw some meaningless insults my way. I know exactly who I am and what my faults and strengths are and even more dangerous, I'm ok with all of it. So anyone pointing the obvious out to me inthe form of an insultjust bores the crap out of me atthis point.
Hate to break it to you but most people wouldn't even react to what you do because most people just don't give a crap. You're nothing to them. You might as well be a pile of dog poo insulting them, that's how much you mean to them. Consider most people, then consider the source of the insult they're recieving, a 15 or so year old stranger that they'll most likely never see again. Why would anyone waste any energy bothering with you? You're not important enough and that's the reality. That renders your whole claimed personna a joke in itself.
I've been through way too much to worry about a guy like you for even a second. You've been through nothing but internet forums, trolling.
You're some guy with level 15 in a forum. I don't get out much anymore admittedly, but neither do you and you know you don't. Your level alone should be proof enough you choose to spend more time indoors away from being able to exercise your claimed attitude than out in the public.
So quit the charade man.

Yeah, it'd also be similarily easy to insult some who's handicapped wouldn't it? Doing something just because you can is a disusting habit of people who think they're better than everyone else around them, and thinks the world owes them something, when in reality, they are the "lowest common denominator" so to speak, in life.
I don't know what kind of place you live in, but where I live, you would probably wake up in a hospital.
I know it's old news to complain about people who spoil books/movies/etc., but I've been watching something over the past few days that just really disturbs me.
I've discovered on YouTube all these videos (here's an example) of people who got their kicks out of shouting spoilers at people waiting in line for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." There are a ton of these, and to be honest I find them kinda disturbing. The number of times they say something like, "I can't wait to ruin these kids' lives" is just really sad.
I know it's just a book, but the deliberate and cruel nature of this just leaves me shaking my head. It was one thing when people accidentally spoiled books or movies, but now this "let's get organized and do it just to be mean" kind of spoiling is a new level. One guy even dressed up in a suit and tie and walked around at a midnight "Deathly Hallows" gathering with official-looking sealed envelopes. He would go up to kids and folks and say something like, "Hey...you've won a special Harry Potter prize--but you can't open it until you buy the book!" And of course, the envelope contained a spoiler sheet.
I've stopped going to talkbacks and message boards online whenever a movie or book is coming out...everyone now seems to love putting huge spoilers in all caps in the subject line. Sad, very sad.
My question for you is...why? What is it about our culture (and truth be told, most of those doing this were teens/20somethings) that is raising a generation who take such delight in maliciously spoiling things for people? Are they THAT unhappy? Is it a feeling of powerlessness?
What's the deal with these people?Ninja-Vox
I've talked about this before, and it's the same as it's always been.
Go work at some trashy place like McDonalds or a seedy bar. There is ALWAYS going to be some ass who tries to **** things up for the employees by going into the restroom and either flinging poop onto the ceiling or stuffing an entire roll of toilet paper down the toilet.
Live in the ghetto, and there is ALWAYS going to be someone breaking into your house.
Live in the suburbs and kids are going to egg your car and/or slash your tires.
Etc, etc, etc.
It's the same reason why people on Gamespot like to go to Youtube and watch bad things happening to people. Because MOST people's lives suck, and they go through life angry and unsatisfied. Being that they are too lazy to improve their own lives, the only thing they can think of is to try their damndest to drag everyone else down to their level. Basically it boils down to them hating you (even though they don't even know you) because they hate themselves. And they['re too stupid and/or lazy to find any other means of satisfaction. They're too ****ing stupid to make themselves happier than you, so they have to resort to making you unhappier than them.
This is nothing new. It's been going on for as long as there were people. Spoiling movies/books/games is just a more recent manifestation of this phenomenon. But regardless, the people who are utter ****, and KNOW that they are utter ****, have ALWAYS tried to **** things up for other people for absolutely no good reason.

[QUOTE="Ninja-Vox"][QUOTE="HupHupOranje"][QUOTE="Ninja-Vox"]but why destroy it just for the sake of ruining other people's day?
crowleyjohn
Because it's funny. People take it way too seriously. It's a book.
You're a kid. You started reading a book seven years ago. You've been waiting all this time to find out how it ends, to read that one, final book and some scumbag deliberately ruins it for you, just to make you miserable.
Why? Why do that? Why deprive somebody of something which brings them happyness, and does NOTHING to affect you in the slightest?
