Would we have fire now? Or would we have missed out that Invention and just made something better?

What i mean is, like we had HD, then went to blue ray. Maybe if we missed out fire we could of made something better. Like maybe more powerful fire.

If cavemen hadn't discovered fire then we'd have to wait until Chuck Norris stole it from Zeus.

Get your act together. Fire happens out in nature without our intervention. We would just observe it and replicate it, like our ancestors did. Man didn't invent fire, it just learned from nature how to start it, and to get benefits from it (light, heat, defense, cooking, etc).

By rewriting the laws of nature such that the energy output from the chemical reaction is higher than what it is today?

Those are some pretty powerful inventors.

I believe what the TC (is that the right term?) is trying to ask is what today's society would be like without our discovery of fire. Basically, if we never managed to use fire, what would we be like now?

Personally, I'm not sure. Perhaps we'd be less advanced, Perhaps we'd be more. There's a lot of ways to look at it. For instance, one could say that without that basic building block of discovery, there would be no incentive to continue advancement. On the other hand, it could be said that mankind would have taken a whole new path. Instead of paying attentionto basic discoveries, we would have made more advanced discoveries. Think about it; if we weren't bothered by fire, we could have been making solar power during the Medieval Times!

First off: Nobody can invent natural things. Fire was always there. I think what you mean is "If cavemen never harnessed the power of fire". Again nobody created fire. It was always there Second off: If you meant "Harness the power of fire" then yes eventually we would find out how to use it to our advantages.

Okay, so by now you know fire wasn't invented. Fire remaining undiscovered is just improbable. My imagination doesn't even stretch that far. You have to crawl before you walk.
