I was kind of exaggerating. I was simply trying to provide an example. What do you think would be a more...

Well, one that doesn't involve a discovery that came centuries later (electricity), for starters. :P

That's the thing. We have no idea what kind of effect the lack of discovery of fire would have on us. That's because we did discover fire

Trying to respond to what I think this thread is meant to be about, I would say that basically everything was built on the discovery of fire, so we couldn't really have the technology we have now without it. It took millions of years for our ancestors to become capable of utilizing fire without all that much advancement.

I think man has naturally been builders and stuff, if you look at the bible, the part in genesis were they tried to build to the heavens (I still dont get this part). I think we were designed already knowing how to do elaborate things that are kind of out of touch with nature. Well for one thing, we can't just beat a animal to death, and just eat it raw. I don't understand why we couldn't just be caveman, much less crap to deal with.

I think the point of that story is that man wanted to build a tower to to heaven, not literally of course. I believe they may have just wanted God to recognize their ingenuity...sort of like saying to God, "Look what I can do."

I doubt they invented it first of all, and second I'm sure a wildfire or something like that would have given some other people the idea. :?

[QUOTE="tidus_swain"]

Would we have fire now? Or would we have missed out that Invention and just made something better?

What i mean is, like we had HD, then went to blue ray. Maybe if we missed out fire we could of made something better. Like maybe more powerful fire.

Responses?
