There are lots of books out there now, not involving God, that are much, much more imaginative than the Bible.

The Bible wasn't really original. They lifted half of it from the Jews.

The teachings of Jesus aren't superficial or fiction, there real moral accounts.

There is nothing like the bible in terms of Jesus,to say 4 guys make up accounts of this one man is just ludicrous,if you actually read the accounts and take in what Jesus has to say then i fail to see how you could think they made up Jesus Christ and everything he has done.

nobody is saying that jesus never existed. We're just saying maybe they used a bit of poetic license when it comes to the accounts of miracles and stuff.

Well sure, seeing as the bible has been written by many there is a high chance that some of the bible doesn't truly account the ways it really was back then,I'm mainly talking about the OT,because i don't believe,at least the accounts that matt, mark, luke and john produced are of creative imagination.

If you're a Christian you must already accept that the Koran, the Pali Canon and the Vedas are all works of fiction. Therefore it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to accept that the Bible could have been written by men with no divine inspiration.

good point, and if all that is crap, whoever did write it did one hell of a job to convince people to follow it for thousands of years. damn.
