If McCain becomes president, I wouldn't feel safe.

And I say this for one reason, and one reason only. McCain is old, and he may die within the four years of his presidency. If so, that means that Palin would be president. And I just couldn't handle that, I'd move to Canada.

Here are the reasons why I'd feel totally safe.

1. Being old and being president we wouldn't have one more old person on the highway to worry about. They practically drive him everywhere! WOW!
2. He was in the Nam. Not Vietnam, Naming Street, where the buffalo roam.

I'm not as worried about McCain dying of old age as his judgement being affected by aging problems. You're only born with so many brain cells that don't replicate... McCain will be 76 at the end of his first term if elected and a re-election would leave him at 80. This is a real concern for me. Ofcourse Obama isn't safe because of lowly racists (this is beyond sad that there are still so many white supremisists) but if Obama were assasinated I'd feel far safer with a President Biden than a President Palin. Just thinking of a President Palin literally is making me feel uneasy.

I don't think you know how much the US spends on the military. It's easily over 9 times that of Russia's and China's.

I really don't think it matters who becomes President...Congress is so lack luster that anyone who becomes President won't be able to do a whole lot anyway. I really can't see anything drastic happening if either one of them becomes president.

McCain - Pretty much continue on the same path with some minor changes

Obama - Troops taken out of Iraq and thrown into Afganistan (All our NATO allies use that as an excuse to pull out or downsize presence). We find ourselves in a war all alone again...We will still hear news reports of heavy fighting and casualities because now instead of British,Canadians,Dutch,French and American soldiers taking on the Taliban it will be mostly Americans.

Neither one of them is really doing all the much...Obama is mixing it up a bit but essentially our situation will end up being a new chapter of the same book.

Lets put aside POW camps and um...OLD AGE. (regardless of whatever you indure in your life, if you live through it, people usually tend to die around 70-80 years old....)

Youre forgetting this is politics. McCain and Obama alike, are giong to say one thing in Illinois, and something different in Alabama. This is how you win votes. Having nationally televised debates makes candidates very uneasy, which is why they dance around questions so much. They cant honestly appeal to everyone they appealed to before, because they would be saying different things. Plus they are trying to appeal to the electorate votes, not so much the popular vote. Do some hard research on the candidates, and then make up your decision.

But you will still have the same amount of money you have now. If you have massive inlfation, in 10 years that means that 100 dollars in your pocket doesnt have the value it had today. So while today it could get you a video game and a controller, in 10 years with massive inflation (think zimbabwe) it might get you a loaf of bread.
