If robots and machines take over our jobs

I'm curious. How do expect, simplified naturally, that our tax system and different social programs should be?The setting would be where most, if not all, middle class and lower jobs are done by machines, and also many higher paying jobs are gone as well. Leaving us with perhaps an 80% unemployment rate.
